So you love socialism ?????

One more time:

Capitalism Requires Government
Print this Article Tell a Friend Share on Facebook Tweet this
"Americans need to realize that our economy has thrived not in spite of government, but in many ways because of government."

Without a whole host of government rules, capitalism could not exist. Even regulations and social programs help sustain a market economy by fixing many of its serious social and economic problems.

One of the most common and misleading economic myths in the United States is the idea that the free market is “natural” – that it exists in some natural world, separate from government. In this view, government rules and regulations only “interfere” with the natural beneficial workings of the market. Even the term “free market” implies that it can exist free from government and that it prospers best when government leaves it alone. Nothing could be further from the truth. In reality, a market economy does not exist separate from government – it is very much a product of government rules and regulations. The dirty little secret of our “free” market system is that it would simply not exist as we know it without the presence of an active government that creates and maintains the rules and conditions that allow it to operate efficiently."
Government is Good - Capitalism Requires Government

Pure horseshit, of course.
Nothing of the kind, and every real capitalist, not you of course, knows it. But, you are the guy who thinks we can't have an FAA, because the Founders, with no commercial aircraft, no planes at all, didn't write that into the Constitution in the year 1789...

Sweden is doing just fine.

Funny you should mention Sweden

Sweden is falling apart

Then you have THIS IDIOT who uses someone else's biased post to state that "Sweden is falling apart"....even though that other pioster was bitching about immigrants to Sweden.

How truly fucked up are these right wingers......

Tip of the iceberg you indocterated twit.

Income tax for the average Swede is 44 percent, with rates as high as 60 percent. As a percentage of gross domesticproduct, Sweden's income taxrevenue is one of the world's highest. The value-added tax, essentially a sales tax, is 25 percent.

A Scandinavian myth-buster: What’s wrong with the idea of Sweden’s utopia

Net job creation in Sweden between 1950 and 2000 was close to zero

Sweden. Home to IKEA, the Swedish Chef, those tasty meatballs … and the most comprehensive cradle-to-grave welfare system in the western world. Touted as a “third way,” the socialist-capitalist hybrid was to have been compatible with the growth and prosperity of free markets whilst simultaneously offering an unparalleled social safety net. The idea of Sweden, and indeed all Nordic countries, as a kind of utopia lives on.

Between the 70s and the 90s Sweden fell from fourth richest nation in the world to 13th. (Following free-market reforms at that time, they climbed back up to 10th by 2010.)

In 2004, only 38 of 100 businesses with the highest revenues in Sweden were privately owned. And only two of those 38 opened their doors after 1970. (IKEA, for example, began in 1943. Incidentally, its founder, Ingvar Kamprad, moved his wealth to the Netherlands and IKEA is owned by a family-controlled foundation in Liechtenstein, says Sanandaji.)

Meanwhile, net job creation in Sweden between 1950 and 2000 was close to zero in spite of the increase in population.

High rates of hidden unemployment dog the Scandinavian countries, too. This happens when the government classifies individuals on various government programs as “employed.”

The federal government should not be involved in personal life decisions whatsoever...

Well, good for you......Women will approve of your new-found advocacy for a woman's RIGHT TO CHOOSE......Now tell that to your conservative ilk.
Right To Choose? Killing Babies is not a right. It certainly is not a medical procedure. The Democrats have a long history of being on the wrong side of right and wrong.
Come on people, learn:

Doctors say abortions do sometimes save women's lives
Kim Painter, Special for USA TODAY 1:24 p.m. EDT October 22, 2012
Abortions are sometimes needed to save the lives of pregnant women, several medical experts said in response to comments from Rep. Joe Walsh.

Doctors say abortions do sometimes save women's lives
Sure, but never at planned parenthood which has a history of actually killing women while attempting to abort babies.
PP doesn't kill women, but all medical procedures carry a risk. Abortion has a small one. That's life.

Bbbut Socialism works!!!!!!! Ask any left loon on this forum. LMAO

I'm sure this will come as a shock to you --- but there are many differences between Democratic Socialism and a dictatorship which is what Venezuela actually is.

The name they call it is irrelevant.

Most of the other Industrialzied Nations practice some form of Socialism and ... and ... and ...

THE UNITED STATES DOES TOO.

don't like it? Move to Somalia --- you'd love it there.

BULLSHIT.

NOW THAT THE CONSTITUTION (1787) HAS BEEN ABOLISHED YOU CAN BE MURDERED, MAIMED, INCARCERATED WITHOUT DUE PROCESS OF LAW

WHATEVER THE BUREAUCRATS SAY THE LAW IS , IS THE LAW

No one should be forced to wear a seatbelt, only a control freak would want such a thing. Dumbass
Or, someone who supports public health and doesn't like paying the bills, including the higher insurance premiums, for people hurt even more in an accident because they refused to use common sense...
People should be paying their own bills, not expecting a free ride.

Socialism are little better than Communism. Marxism are in the middle of 3 spieces of socialist.

If the only way to make your point is to flat-out lie, in caps, don't bother. The Constitution is alive and well, 230 years later, it just shouldn't be.

Most don't but no man is an island. That accident you have three miles in front of me, costs me time and money. The more fucked up you are, for not using common sense, the bigger my tab.

Comparing venezuela to america and Bernie's policies that are hardly anything "socialist" is childish.

How many US Federal governments would you like there to be?
Once we give the power back to the states, well, first of all, many states are going to absolutely fail, and second of all, the small government types will be complaining about the "oppressive" state governments that need to be shrunk.

“this is Nero at his worst. The Constitution is gone.” Those were the trenchant words spoken extemporaneously when Justice James Clark McReynolds read his dissent from the bench.

Folks, according to the berners and the socialists The Constitution (1787) has been abolished. The powers of the government are now unlimited . Our "rights" have been reduced to privileges subject to their discretion.

I Dissent: The Legacy of Justice James Clark McReynolds

"the book vindicates the important and long-ignored truth that McReynolds was a man of consistent, context-neutral principles who attempted to preserve our Constitution from the grasping hands of utopian zealots and judicial abdicationists. The modern, mainstream revulsion towards McReynolds is a direct reflection of how far we have strayed from our founding principles of federalism and decentralized, limited government. The mere mention of such ideals and how they are routinely violated by the modern federal government elicits the same scorn heaped upon McReynolds himself.
McReynolds, like Jefferson, recognized that the more power we yield to central government for the ostensible purpose of doing things FOR us, the more government will be empowered to do things TO us. While McReynolds understood that the Constitution must grow and change to suit the times, he also understood that the only appropriate means for doing so lies in the amendment process. The power of judicial review is to interpret and apply the Constitution, not to amend it, and the fact that such silent alteration happens regularly now without dissenters such as McReynolds is ominous to say the least."

The federal government is no one's friend, except for the Deadbeat...

California is a thriving state right now, unlike, say, Texas.

Winning WWII doesn't count in your book? Iran not making nukes? How about Americans held in Iran, not to mention US soldiers, being returned?

You remind me of the farmers and ranches who hate the Feds, but cash the checks they send...

Texas doesn't think of itself as a state and is hanging in, in its Texas screwed up way.

The only good federal government is one that is not seen or heard and most importantly not felt...
