Conservatives believe one of the most important Amendments to the Constitution, if not THE most important, is Amendment Two, the right to bear arms.

However, the science-hating right-wingers fail to realize their precious Second Amendment would be useless without science. The thrill conservatives feel about war and the killing of other humans (except the unborn) would be much less gratifying if the only weapons available were rocks, sharp sticks, clubs, or other naturally occurring items and materials. Even in times past, the making of swords, axes, flails, or any other weapon made of metal depended on the scientific knowledge of the era.

The scientific fields of metallurgy, chemistry, physics, psychology, and others are necessary to make the killing of other humans as efficient as possible to please the blood-lust of conservatism.

So, the next time anyone hears a conservative badmouthing science or scientists, people of reason are obliged to point out to the loudmouthed right-winger that he (or she) desperately needs science to fulfill the conservative desire to kill people who do not agree with, or oppose the oppressive goals of U.S. conservatism.

Whether they like it or not, the righties depend heavily on scientists' knowledge and many of their advancements to remain happily ignorant conservatives.

I'm trying to decide if your rant was just one giant strawman or a series of smaller ones. In either case, it lacked any facts worth discussing. Nice job, I'm sure it was one of your better efforts.

Conservatives are like the Borg. They want all the good things other people researched and created but they don't want to live with anyone outside the collective.

Possibly we are just sick and tired of some of the bullshit that some in "science community" are pushing when we know its bullshit.

Funny.

The left-wing's idea of science is a consensus.

The left-wing's idea of science is a consensus.

That's the side that thinks that Bruce Jenner is a woman—the side that denies the most basic and obvious science regarding the distinction between male and female. And that is the side that foolishly thinks that it has any place to claim to be the “pro-science” side.

How do you know I don't understand the science? I do know personally I am sick of the money making scams that are justified through bullshit science. Good science on the other hand can save people heartaches but when greed takes hold it all may as well be tossed if that is what it takes.

It's easy to understand when you realize there IS no science, merely computer derived fiction. Here's a scientific axiom......... There is no such thing as "consensus" in science. That is a political term. Science deals with observations of the natural world, and it seeks to explain what those observations tell us about how the world works. There is not "truth", there are only facts. Facts don't care who is saying them, science only cares that they are accurate.

Feynman said it best...

Hey, dipshit, we've been subjected to countless dire warnings about climate change, first cooling and then warming, coming from the "science" community and others for decades, and throughout that time there's been one constant: Nothing predicted has ever come to fruition. The coming ice age never happened, temperatures rising dramatically, resulting crop failures and famines killing millions of people never happened. Rising oceans flooding NYC and other coastal areas never happened. And that's just of thimble full of the bullshit coming from the science folks since the friggin' '70s, so spend a few minutes looking up all their other phony forecasts and you might learn something about the charlatans runnning the scam.
