CDZ Song of The South

You can forget ever seeing the movie Dam-busters again.
WWII true story of a dangerous bombing mission. The key character is the bomber pilot who owned a black Lab named Niqqer.
Dog gets killed by a car so the heartbroken pilot dedicates the mission to his black Lab and decides the code word for success of the mission is Niqqer.
The excitement comes at the conclusion of the movie when everyone involved in the mission gleefully repeat “Niqqer! It’s Niqqer!”

Seems to me that the movie took place after the civil war and they weren't slaves anymore though. :/
The book was written after the Civil War from stories that the white author gathered from slaves on the plantation

And slaves brought the stories from africa

I even liked the early movie Check and Double Check.

Tho it is likely banned now, considering the actors portraying Amos and Andy were in Blackface.
The TV show was actually pretty good. Nobody cries about how white people and Jews are portrayed in sitcoms in the past. I bet the families of those black actors would have liked getting residuals from reruns of those shows.

I remember right after my husband and I got married, I showed him the movie "Lil' Abner". He'd never heard of the comic strip, let alone the movie. He was offended and outraged by the depiction of people in Appalachia, as a new member of a family from that region. He asked my parents why they weren't offended by it, and they shrugged and said, "Well, because a lot of people there are actually like that."
Thats true it takes all kinds but the idea is improvement with time, which we have failed to do in past several decades. Welfare aka socialism has never been good for a society.

I was watching this movie again last night and it still completely amazes me that Disney wants to change Splash Mountain into The Princess and The Frog theme instead of Song of The South because in that movie a black woman changes into a frog. That isn't racist, but a happy black man singing songs and telling stories is? Don't get me wrong, I love both movies, but I think that The Princess and The Frog should get its own ride. I have a feeling that if James Baskett was still alive today he'd be like "ya'all need to just lighten up!" Lol anyways, I found an interesting new version of Zip- a-Dee-Doo-Dah last night. :D

So I don't know how but I was able to buy this movie on Amazon. Anyways, is there anybody else on here who was able to see this movie? If so, what did you think of it? Me personally, I think that a lot of people are just overreacting and that it's a really cute movie. :)
Oh, God, that was such a great movie. I am amazed you found it: I tried to buy a copy years ago and couldn't find one. I haven't seen it since I was a child.

Same deal with "Green Pastures."

I suppose this is what will happen with my favorite childhood Seuss books. They are contraband now, maybe will come back, if we're lucky. These horrible Woke types, cancelling the best there is.
