South Korea is afraid of offending North Korea and the deployment of the American missile system was an unnecessary provocation. The majority of South Koreans are sympathetic toward North Korea and they hate American imperialism more than North Korean communism. South Korea is an unreliable partner for the US when it comes to dealing with North Korea, which is leaning toward China and North Korea.

Which is, ironically a good thing for the US.

The Korean Peninsula is the worst place in the world for US power projection.

Yet we have/had? a Moral Commitment to stand with our long time allies the South Koreans.


But if they are dumb enough to walk away from US to be closer to the North Koreans and the Fucking Red Chinese, that makes their safety not our problem.
