She is the one that turned down extra security prior to Jan 6th. She is the one that told the Capitol Police to stand down. She is the one that caused many of the Capitol Police to welcome people into the building and even hold the doors open for them.

I hope in this investigation that the Democrats are about to do they find out why the police opened up the gates and why they were told to hold back. Who called for that? Further, there were warnings from law enforcement and media about potential unrest in the days leading up to 1/6. Why weren’t reinforcements in place? Why not have them fire rubber bullets or tear gas as deterrents? This is common sense defense especially in the face of advance concern.

• Michael Stenger, former Sergeant at Arms of the United States Senate, "and two other members of the Capitol Review Board repeatedly refused to request the assistance of the National Guard".

Both Irving and Stenger helped violent insurrectionists overrun the Capitol with the goal of executing lawmakers. They intended for Trump's coup to succeed and they intended for the violent repression of dissidents and the wholesale slaughter of Democratic politicians that would have followed.

...and this has already been discussed at great length in another thread back in January. The House Sergeant-at-Arms reports to The Speaker AND CAN BE FIRED BY THE SPEAKER. The Sergeant-at-Arms consults with the Speaker and does what the Speaker wants done.
