This thread is for products that work. If you use a product and it works as advertised...post it here with some pictures...

Star Brite Aluminum cleaner...

Follow the direction and it works perfectly.

I used a blue scratch less scrubby as an applicator.

Available at Walmart...in the boat section...$20.

Thought I got a pic of that bit brace after a night in the Evapo-rust...but you'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Back story...I bought that brace just the way you see to for a dollar...figured I'd soak it in oil for a few days and get it unseized. Well, that didn't work. So it sat in the shed for about a year...stilled seized...until the other day I was watching Farm Project on Youtube.

Another brand won the day...but Evapo-rust came in a close second...and it is safe, biodegradable and reuseable. So I gave it a try.

While the brace was soaking...I threw in some spade bits I had pulled out for the carver's mallet...which you see above.

The brace chuck came out rust free...and after soaking it all morning in oil...it finally broke free! :woohoo:

So...the parts are back in the Evapo-rust until tomorrow...pics then.

If you're interested in what product won the challenge..it was Krud Kutter.

More on Evapo-rust -

I've never really had an overheating problem, but I use water wetter just for the heck of it because it really does keep your motor running cooler than normal.

Soaked it in PB Blaster after and ... except for some marring from the jaws of a pipe wrench the bit brace is back to 100% operational.

What can you do with a can of WD40? Lubricate M-16s, catch bigger fish, de-ice rod guides, clean turtles, repel pigeons, remove dog poo, make a flame-thrower, and much, much more.
