In the last Israeli election, Obama sent over a large part of his campaign team with loads of money to try to unseat Netanyahu, the most blatant example of the US interfering in an election.Wow. It is not even close to Watergate.Since it is impossible to demonstrate that any of the Wikileaks emails could have influenced the election, it doesn't matter. We hack their high profile political figures and they hack our's all the time, so it just isn't even newsworthy unless it can be demonstrated that these emails could have influenced the election. They didn't hack! Oh wait! If they hacked, it's not important!
We have never hacked into foreign political databases to sway an election to anyone. This is what the Uproar is all about.
Wikileaks founder (Julian Grange) is probably the most wanted man in the world right now, and the efforts to find him have probably quadrupled. He is no friend of anyone's, and has leaked sensitive information that puts our soldiers in danger. The ONLY one that has praised him is Donald Trump.
Donald Trump praises Wikileaks' Julian Assange, bashes DNC and media in Twitter tirade
It doesn't matter if they did any damage, if they find collusion with anyone with the Trump campaign or anyone he is associated with, it will be considered TREASON against the United States. And they may already have something.

Right now you have investigative reporters working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week trying to win the Pulitzer Prize to find that collusion.
This is a thousand times worse than Watergate, that only involved a break in at one DNC location. It's not going to go away.
And we have used a lot of methods to meddle in foreign elections. Ignoring that is not going to make the hypocrisy go away.
No--if we were meddling into elections, Maliki would have never won in Iraq, and
Palestine would have never elected Hamas. I can give you a dozen other instances where someone won--(that we really didn't care for.) We didn't hack into their political databases to leak information, or get involved in putting FAKE news all over social media sites to take down a foreign political opposition opponent.
This is what Russia did to get Trump elected. They are not your new found friends because they went after Hillary Clinton. They have been doing a lot. Like last year they hacked into the Pentagon to get into the Joint Chiefs of staff's emails. They actually had to shut it down it was moving so fast and replace software and hardware.
Russian hack almost brought the U.S. military to its knees
They have found the same Russian malware (Grissley Steepe) in a electric power grid in Vermont.
As far as the damage done: Probably the worst email leak was Debbie Wasserman's DNC chair. Bernie Sanders was out there campaigning on a rigged election, Russia leaked a couple of emails with Wasswerman exhibiting her dislike of Sanders. Trump expounded on it, went running to Sanders supporters and said vote for me. How many of them took the bait and swallowed the bullshit on that we'll never know. But I know there were a few Sanders supporters on this board that were threatening to vote for Trump over it.
You make a good point that the only damage the Wikileaks emails did was to the Democratic leadership, most especially Debbi Wasserman-Schulz, when they proved what Sanders supporters had been claiming that the leadership of the Party had rigged the primaries to prevent Sanders from winning, but since only Sanders supporters gained anything from the Wikileaks emails, by any rational assessment that should have made them prime suspects for the leaks, but since any investigation of them would have further split the Party, the Democrats decided to blame Russia in order to try to unite the badly fractured Party in hating Russians. That there has been no investigation of leaks from within the Party is evidence that the intelligence agencies have been political tools by the Obama administration. And this could be called treason by some.
That's different, it just is
