Both are the same. Any thinking person can see that both are one in the same.

"Take back America" is a subset of "Fundamentally transform America".

Good. So you agree that America should be Fundamentally Transformed.
Stating a fact is not affirmation of the goal.

In the last 8 years, the goal was to fundamentally transform America. If it was achieved, say YEA. If YEA, you can affirm the goal. If NAY, it's someone else's goal.

Yo, you mean? Get rid of the "Socialist" in this Country, deport, like the illegals!!!

I think you mean "take America backward"

By Backward, that would mean a strong Middle Class, Strong Small Businesses, Free Market-based Economic principles, and Limited Government......then, yes, 'backward'.

No, I don't think it needs to be fundamentally transformed. It merely needs to be restored to functionality. A Trump is only possible because of the astonishing preponderance of low-information voters.

"Whenever the people are well informed, they can be trusted with their own government."
- Thomas Jefferson

That was the single most important founding principle of this country. Restore that, and all else will follow. We'll elect leaders who understand that their function is to reign in unbridled greed. To balance the legitimate needs of the entrepreneurial class with the legitimate needs of the middle class. A government wholly owned by the forces of greed, who live to do nothing but drop to their knees before their masters and service them, cannot provide this rational balance.

How about this for a slogan: "Restoring America Fundamentally"

Yo, how about this? Kick all ""Socialist Democrats"" out of office, and some Republicans who think they can do what they want, instead of doing what they said they would do for the voters!!!

Again, stating a fact is not expressing support for it. For instance, if I say, "Obama is President", that does not mean I am glad he is President.

I agree, get rid of corporations, most of industry, hundreds of millions of citizens, and on and on, I think we would be on the right path once again. Restore America to the way it used to be in 1800, a Trump and conservative's dream. It's the Indians I worry about, will they still be a problem? Remember we're talking pre-John Wayne stuff here.

And the possibility of Obama as President was what? done by a bunch of intelligent people? and how is wanting to give out others people hard earned money to others (for doing NOTHING)not, Greedy?

The Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania – Americans know surprisingly little about their government, survey finds

Walter Annenberg was a conservative, btw. A friend of Ron and Nancy. If you don't understand the effect of low-information voters on a democracy, why not learn about it, instead of offering the usual knee-jerk, hyper-partisan garbage that substitutes for thought in this country? Be part of the solution instead of the problem. FWIW, Obama owed his presidency to low-information voters, who voted for him because he was black. I was, and am, a supporter of the president, but I don't believe he was elected for the right reasons.

Most Americans are probably not into politics that much. They go to work, raise kids, pay their taxes and watch Monday night football.
Politics can be a full time occupation with bundles of money shoved about, and the average citizen is not that interested to follow all the little nuances. Someone comes along and offers simple solutions and actions that makes all the work of understanding politics unnecessary and it makes it a lot easier than reading scads of material and listening to endless speeches. It is the weakness of a democracy.

Talking about a world becoming more superstitious, less educated, less tolerant, less pluralistic, less open, more contentious.

That's about right ;)

"I hope we shall... crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country."
-- Thomas Jefferson; from letter to George Logan (Nov. 12, 1816)

"Take Back America"

A moronic phrase that illustrates the arrogance, hate, and stupidity common to most on the right – America belongs to each and every one of its citizens, not to a particular class or group of Americans, and clearly not conservatives.

Whether conservatives like it or not, they live in a diverse and inclusive America, regardless the right's contempt for their fellow Americans because of race, religion, or national origin.
