Teacher in trouble for "black face" Kanye West Halloween costume; Double standard?

You fail to understand......or are being willfully ignorant. You do both here often....so I'm not sure which one it is this time.

My advice, go show your black neighbor this forum and let him read your stuff here. I'm sure he'll explain it all to you in a way that you can understand.

Then explain.

I think all races should be treated equally in all matters. Do you agree??

My neighbor would probably agree with 95% of what conservatives here write...me included. He's a Hootie style black guy....in other words...acts like a normal human being with a job and good family.

I have already explained. You are not getting it.

A "hootie style" black guy? Is that a Hootie and the Blowfish reference?

You said the races aren't treated equally in this instance. I said they should be. Racial double standards must be eliminated completely.

And yes it's a Hootie reference. Darius Rucker is a native of our city and a lot of black guys here are a lot like him...in other words...just like everyone else except they happen to be black.

You are a freak.

AH....excellent point of view on the topic. Always count on liberals to really push the discussion to new depths.

What else do you expect? A "hootie style" black guy?

I challenge you to go tell your neighbor that he's OK with you because he is a "hootie style" black guy.

Should he have got into trouble? No, I don't believe so. Some people are far too touchy and are just looking to be outraged over bullshit. That being said, I don't believe for the hottest of seconds the OP cares either way. He just wants to gas on about how unfair white people have it America. White people can't don blackface!? See ya'll at march! We shall overcome! lol

"I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves in white face and the sons of former slave owners in black face will be able to sit together at the table of brotherhood."

The fact is.....white people can and do wear blackface......without incident.....all the time. It all goes to context.

ALL the time? They do? I have never seen anyone do this.

Look west. Toward Hollywood. You are welcome.

ALL the time though? Me thinks you exaggerate for effect but it backfires. :D

Often enough. Context matters.

When? When was the last time you saw someone (other than a comedian) in black face? Maybe if you were around in the 1950s you go to see such things. Nowadays, not so much.

Besides, it's a fucking Halloween costume, no? Good grief, stop the inane train.

The costume isn't the issue. The blackface is. There is history to consider.

If the teacher had worn an actual mask with the likeness of Kanye West....he'd have had zero complaints. This is not me making that up.....it's a fact. There are mass produced masks of black celebrities available for sale. White people wear them all the time. No problem.

This is a learning opportunity. Take it.

No. Some people need to stop being so "uber" sensitive. It's a costume. It doesn't mean anything except someone wanted it to look authentic. :rolleyes-41: I suppose if you want to see and look for "hate" in everything, this is to be expected.

I can see this isn't a topic wher you are willing to see the other side.

May I suggest that you go to Bucs thread about the kid who was assaulted by the school cop in class.

You poor, oppressed white guy. How do you do it? You must survive every day in this land where you are so disadvantaged. Your perserverence is admirable.
LOL You pathetic little "white-guilt striken" lefty. It must suck to be such a pansy ass as you.

I can see the other side just fine. I can also see that you have no sense of humor. I would think it funny if I saw a black man dressed up as a white guy and had painted his face white. It is being creative is all. It's people like yourself who help keep a "racial divide" amongst us when you cannot even laugh at a costume.

Are you an Internet tough guy? That's so rare around here. Go ahead....tell me how you are ex special forces and can kil me with your pinky finger.

Why would I say all that? You are just a pathetic white person.
Pussy mother fuckers like you are the reason black people think white people are scared of them. JS

Nope. I can find humor in whiteface.....and I would probably have found humor in this teacher's costume had I been at the party. I'm sure he didn't mean any harm. It all goes to context.

However, I'm not upset that someone else was offended by the blackface. They have a point of view that I am willing to consider. That is what separates you and me here.

The OP is divisive.....is it not? Answer truthfully, please. I'm getting bored.

I'm not scared of black people. But I think you are.
