Nope... they want to argue that it was "God Bless America;" and they want to argue such to avoid the certainty that they will lose the case.
They failed to stand for the National Anthem... and got their asses kicked to the curb.
They're liars... nothing more to it than that.
And while your attempt to educate the room on the distinction is hysterical, in at least two contexts and on several levels, it's otherwise irrelevant.
One question, can you fucking read?
NJ teens sue over 'God Bless America' ejection - Yahoo! News
"God Bless America," written by Irving Berlin in 1918, was played at big league ballparks throughout the country when baseball resumed after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, and has remained a fixture at New York Yankees games.
So once again, it was NOT the National Anthem. As much as you'd like to say they're liars, every single media outlet is reporting it as God Bless America. So what the fuck are you smoking? Are you just willfully ignorant because you realize your wrong otherwise?
Here's how it went down...
The kids came home; informed the parents, who immediately saw a chance to 'cash in on the RICH...'
They went to the attorney... explained that the kids didn't stand for the NA...
Strike ONE!
and were summarily kicked to the curb.
Strike TWO!
The attorney, ponders how he might turn yet another dead-horse into a few billable hours...
After a moment he informs his new client that no court is going to sanction a property owner for removing someone for failing to stand and respect the National Anthem; and asks 'was there any other music played in and around the time that they were dispatched?'
To which they replied... 'well they played "God Bless America"...
Strike THREE!
The National Anthem is played BEFORE the game ... God Bless America is played during the 7th inning stretch. If the Clerk is right ( ) the boys would have been kicked out LOOOONG before the 7th inning stretch.
YOU'RE OUT!!!!
whereupon those billable hours came pouring into the Attorneys black-heart and a case was born...
Now THAT serves reason... tossing someone for failing to stand to God Bless America, for which there is no custom... does not.
Now if the assertion that "ACCORDING TO THE LAWSUIT" is all ya have... well that pretty well covers it.
We're now getting into Uber Stupid territory with the Clerk.
