Tennessee GOP Votes To Expel First Democratically Elected Representative

I cannot wait till they all 3 get voted back into office and the state will have just wasted a few million dollars running a new election
Doesn't take an election from what I read. The local governing body could appoint them. Either way, it returns the democratic process back to local control. They were already stripped of committee assignments, so this actually allows for more representation by replacing or reiinstating them.

You made the 'recess" thing up, didnt you. Thats weak as fuck. :cuckoo:
Following a vote to approve Gov. Bill Lee’s $3 billion transportation bill, the House went into recess due to loud chants from the gallery and Reps. Justin Jones, D-Nashville, and Justin Pearson, D-Memphis, interrupting floor action speaking through a megaphone, according to Main Street Nashville.

There was other business before the house, but the interruption forced a recess.

Okay, let's. Note interrupting floor action. The interruption lead to the recess. You moron.

They were in recess....

They were in recess

As the protesters gathered outside the House chamber, three legislators interrupted legislative business to lead the protesters in chants from the House floor. The lawmakers had not been recognized to speak and their actions interrupted legislative business for a period of about an hour, therefore, their participation in the peaceful protest violated the Tennessee Legislature’s rules.
