Texas AG backs school for expelling unAmerican student

You say the pledge dammit! People fought for your freedom to be forced to say the pledge!!!

Another glaring example of the freedom loving right wing !

Just do what good states do. Objectors can sit and stay quiet while others do the pledge .

Her mother can just sign the paper that lets her not stand for it..its a VERY simple thing to do. Just like opting out or in for paddling students for disciplinary issues.

Read the article dummy. ANY parent can sign the paper that exempts their child from standing for the pledge. She was a minor so no she could not. Its a parents right to determine their child's education hence the paper she could sign to exempt her.

Are you saying a teenager can not think for themselves ?

Its not about THINKING for themselves its about being a LEGAL ADULT and making LEGAL ADULT decisions which at 17 she COULD NOT do as she was still a minor.

So if she goes out and kills someone, it’s not he fault . It’s her parents . Cause she can’t think for herself ?

Yer an idiot. That is all. I have no time to explain simple things to someone with such a low IQ.

Texas attorney general backs school that expelled student over Pledge of Allegiance

MAYBE her mother (since we know there is no father around) should just sign the damn paper and have her opt out standing for the pledge. Simple as that!
How can any freedom lover think that it is okay for GOVERNMENT to force these North-Korea-style oaths of loyalty to an inanimate object?

I have no problem with people freely swearing loyalty to the United States, but don't force them to do it.

What the fuck has happened to this nation?

Everybody on every side is a fucking Statist Totalitarian.

I want to let people abstain from the pledge because I prefer that they out themselves.

Free speech helps us rid the world of filthy traitors.
:dunno:

How valid is a pledge if it is done under threat of expulsion?

Does anyone know what a pledge is?
