Texas Gets One Step Closer to Secession

Then there are no parallels between now and 1776
in terms of legality there are. secession in 2024 would be no different than secession in 1776. one people decide to remove themselves from an oppressive ruler. exactly the same. you are trying to make a legal argument against it, but its not a legal issue any more than it was in 1776

If the ruler is really oppressive they will not allow it to happen.

Which countries do you foresee coming to the aide of Texas like the French did for the colonies?

The declaration of independence isn't a legal document.

But it is interesting you would try to use that as an excuse to dismiss the constitution.

Very trumpean of you.
the founders dismissed UK law when the said they would no longer be subject to the rulings of King George. its no different today. its not a legal issue or a constitutional one.

And Texas should leave with our blessings (and laughter). Just let us take all that federal property and money back first....since it doesn't belong to Texas.

An actual oppressive government would never allow that to happen

this would not be a court case any more than the declaration of independence was a court case. Geez wake up people.
Russian trolls must be desperate to divide Americans if the arguement is the constitution can be violated because of a non legal document pertaining to the UK. Lol.

Are you in 2nd amendment threads claiming the 2nd doesn't count because of the declaration of independence? BWAHAHAHA.

Who believes this Russian bullshit?

So? Are you saying this renders the constitution null and void? Is that what Vlad is telling you to post?
