Texas now a blue state?

See folks, this is what happens when you invite tech and creative businesses into your state with great tax incentives... Smart people with college educations and advanced educations move there and set up shop. And when you have a lot of smart people making money in a city you have progressive thinking and open-mindedness which tends to lean people toward the Democratic party as the GOP continues to embraces outdated and failed trickle down economics, extreme religious views, and anti-science agenda.

Prediction, Texas is now purple, and will soon be blue...
The irony...

Well, let's see… today is July 12…. so… be patient.

Texas could be interesting if Hillary can get out the Hispanic and women's vote

Hillary has a better political ground game in Texas than Trump. Normally, a candidate can rely on his parties political machine in each state. Neither the Ted Cruz or Bush camps in Texas would lift a finger to support Trump

I couldn't agree more.

The demographics in Texas are changing, just like everywhere else in the country that's not a refuge for socially conservative Fox News viewers. I.E. anywhere rural in a red state.

The GOP, and the "conservative" brand, will not continue to be a ruling force in government if they adopt platforms that exclude diversity. They can launch all the campaigns designed to attract diverse voters they want...but as long as their message is one long guilt trip aimed at non Christians, minorities, and in some instances women....it's only a matter of time before they fade away.
You haven't even begun to feel the side effects of your trillion dollar white guilt campaign yet btw....

If conservative republicans lose their white majority voting bloc in TX and FL,they will NEVER again see the inside of the oval office....at least until they abandon their somewhat racist platform.
Racism has worked just fine for Democrats.

I am thinking Republicans just aren't racist enough to cut it anymore.

It is possible, but unlikely that Hillary could take Texas

But if she did, it would mark the turning point where Republicans were no longer capable of winning the White House

32/50 states.......
32 very small states

Very small minds, in very small states, that unfortunately, still reap the disproportionate weight the antiquated electoral college affords the redneck nonsense rattling around in their prudish diseased psyches

Agreed which is your Dear Leader is trying to flood those states with illegals and migrants... And you are fine with it. The ends justify the means right.

Great point, the only reason Illinois is blue is because of Chicago and maybe some of the college towns. The rest of the state is rural red.

Dallas, Austin…. big business bring in a lot of people at all income levels.
All the righties are coming unglued about the point I made.

Truth hurts.

Their responses range from the delusional to retarded

You assume black = Democrat. You could not be more wrong.

Sure where a lot of posts how the shooter was "a democrat " .

"A major city, Dallas, that leads the nation in police and minority relations..."

Only a full blown idiot could make that statement this week AFTER last week.

Silly.....Texas is almost a country by itself; with an all-republican state congress and governor's mansion and a large national guard contingent, AND a relatively small border with Mexico (versus the other 3 bordering states), you instead CHOOSE to believe that its Obama who is "flooding" illegals into Texas???

Texas may not go blue, but Hillary will be able to make Trump sweat it out and waste limited resources to win a state he should take with no effort

As JFK smartly did, Hillary should choose a Texan (like Julian Castro) for VP, drawing out the Latino voters in that state en masse, giving Trump a REAL scare in a state that is normally an easy win for republicans.

I think Castro would be a wise choice

He is also young enough and charismatic enough to take the reigns after Hillary completes her second term

Exactly why your Dear Leader must change it.
