Texass 6yo shot in the face - dies

So now you're saying that gays are in favor of shooting children?

Why do you say such stupid stuff?

"It's horrible what happened. It's very troubling to hear that another young child has been hurt due to gunfire in Oakland — it's really upsetting," Robinson said.

Seems to me the message in this link is the same as I've been saying - children should be protected from guns. Do you disagree?

Children should be protected, period.

Don't YOU agree?

On that basis, we do not ban cars, knives or propane tanks.

So ...

if you have some kind of "argument" to offer, you have yet to make it.

Coherently, anyway.

Yes.

Just as seeking to ban abortion or enact more restrictions is unconstitutional and does nothing to address unwanted pregnancies, so too is seeking to ban guns or enact more restrictions unconstitutional and will do nothing to address the problem of gun deaths and violence.

The simple fix is never the solution, whatever the problem.

Wow! See? You can make sense if you try.

How sad you feel the need to deligitimize the tragic death of this child.

That's what you glean, because you are an idiot...just like the parent that let a 2 year old ride a motorcycle with an 11 year old, the grandparent that left a child alone by the pool, the parent that put an unsecured two year old on a backhoe, and the grandparent that left a loaded gun where kids could get at it.

There are all kinds of irresponsible folks out there, do we ban tractors, pools and motorcycles because some folks can't handle them?

Of course not.

Oh PLEASE do not start with the stupid lies about "banning".

It isn't stupid or lies.

Only stupid liars would deny that the ultimate goal is disarming Americans.

Texas 6-Year-Old Dies After She Was Accidentally Shot In The Face

Police told KENS that they believe the 6-year-old was the only person in the room at the time. However, investigators are testing her 8-year-old sister for gun residue, since she may have been in the room as well.

A 6yo and an 8yo alone with a loaded gun.

Bring on the excuses.

This is NOT a political issue nuttylud. It's a bad parrenting & border line criminal issue.

You don't care about some random victim of stupidity. All you care about is trying to make a political wedge out of it.

And that makes YOU almoat as bad as the parents of this child

But he doesn't want to ban guns, just restrict their availability and usage to the point that they can't be bought or used by most people. There's a real difference if you look hard enough. Maybe try squinting and turning the screen to an angle or something.

Are you on the record here that banning guns is stupid?

We have a "record"??

I have often written that I own guns and no, I don't see that "banning" is an answer.

Talk of banning and gun grabbing is dishonest and deflects away from the real issues.

Same with saying cars, pools, tractors are the same as guns. Why don't YOU have the courage to face the issue instead of trying to hide behind those things?

Of course there is a record...everything you type on here becomes a part of it.

And they are the same...you can't legislate responsibility.

"In Chapter 5 of Freakonomics, which explores the art and science of parenting, we pose this question: Which is more dangerous, a gun or a swimming pool? It turns out that far more children die each year in swimming pool accidents than in gun incidents. For parents in warm-weather states like Florida, California, and Arizona, this is plainly a year-round concern, and now that summer seems to have leapt over spring (at least here in New York City, where it hit 80 F. yesterday), swimming-pool season is nearly here for all of us."

No excuse. In my home the room would have been properly secured and the children would have know that they don't go in there without a parent. If the gun is so secure that a child in the same room can't get it, then I can't get at it quickly either, and I will not live that way.

Ah. If only liberals had succeeded in banning all guns, no child would ever die at the accidental hands of a sibling.

Remember, only guns kill people.

Stamp out the Second Amendment.

Or, to put that in terms a liberal might be able to grasp:

#StampOutTheSecondAmendment

Another one who doesn't have the courage to examine the real issue and instead hides behind lies.

YOU sure as shit haven't examined ANY issues, Muddly; and the only lies here are the ones YOU keep attempting to spread.

The FACT is that anything can be deadly. As others have noted, swimming pools and automobiles cause FAR more deaths to children in our land than guns do.

See, when it's the truth, you fucking dishonest hack, it's not a "lie" no matter how much YOU dislike that fact.

It's funny to see a hack like you floundering so badly in your own cheap ass rhetoric and propaganda.

Keep up the stellar work.

And the beat goes on...
How many innocents have to die before gun enthusiasts recognize that gun ownership is a serious matter and treat their weapons with due respect?
This means:
Gun registration and licensure, renewable every 2 years pending a "clean record".
Professional Instruction in gun safety and use prior to licensure.
Why not if it saves lives?

One kind of lethal parental negligence does not excuse another...and pools, unlike guns, are not bought for killing.

Have you not read ALL the other posts providing evidence that kids die in a number of different ways? Did you see the post about swimming pools? Using your logic we should fill in all swimming pools; do away with all plastic bags; arrest doctors who give strong drugs to toddlers; park and lock all tractors; and the list goes on. Only an outright IDIOT can conclude that a "gun" killed someone. That person would have to be void of all common sense (or grey matter) to reach such an asinine conclusion.

There are already plenty of gun laws on the books -- too many. But, like the saying goes, you can't fix stupid and stupid mistakes will be made whether a gun is registered or not.

Bullshit.

Got to license them, register them, have mandatory safety classes every year including pool inspection by the pool safety police. :cuckoo:

Assholes......

Swimming pools have uses other than killing. Why so stupid?

And yet that makes them no less deadly...fun how that works.

Nobody NEEDS a pool. How many times have we heard that?

Pools are MUCH more deadly to children than guns...learn to live with that.

Guns kill around 30,000 people a year. About 19,000 are suicides. The remaining number constitutes all other cause from criminals murdering other criminals to domestic violence to justifiable homicide to accidents to manslaughter.

Physician mistakes alone cause 100,000 deaths per year. Not infections in hospitals, but doctors making a bad decision or misreading a test or diagnosing the wrong disease.

If you want to save lives, ban doctors.
