It is called the minimum wage law. If businesses will not pay what society considers a fare wage they don't deserve to be in business. Competitors that do pay fair wages will take their place as the greedy or inefficient business are forced out of the system. Capitalism is not supposed to be subsidized by the government. When business depends on government subsidies the system becomes related to fascism and what we are now calling it's hybrid, corporatism.
