These meets go on in areas across the USA for those who spend the $200 and fill out the paperwork to legally own "real assault weapons".

And to own a weapon like that, you have to have very special permits and the ATF pretty much performs a colonoscopy on you.

Here's the bottom line: JoeB. does not need an automobile. JoeB. does not need a computer. JoeB. does not need internet access. It's a FACT.

It's also a fact that automobiles kill way more people (and way more children) every year than guns do. And the internet can and has been used to incite violence, solicit children, and commit murders (such as in the casse of the "Craigs List Killer").

Neither do I. But some corrections.

Firstly...Not military grade as no modern military force in the world today would want so called "assault weapons". They want the real thing, full auto, select fire and not weapons that merely look like they are full auto select fire.. That is why the real careful gun grabbers use the terminology "military style" in hopes that you wont pick up on the difference and will think that it is "military grade"... a bit of misrepresentation designed to fool the feeble minded.

Secondly... The question of course is what to do about it. You seem to favor knee jerk solutions which have proven to have zero impact in the past. Apparently, you feel this shows you care for the children. I prefer approaches that actually work.

Guy, to own a car, you have to be license, registered, insured, take it in for regular emissions testing, required to comply with dozens of safety regulations. And unfortunately, because we don't invest in public transportation, we need them.

Guns- Most people don't need them, and they don't do any good in the hands of civilians.
