Slaves mostly didn't build the pyramids.

Farmers who were waiting for the river to ebb so they could go back to work in the fields built the pyramids.

The Pyramids are basically a government funded RIGHT TO WORK welfare system.

Part of their daily pay came in the form of BEER, too.

When I was in Egypt, I learned that they have unearthed the dwellings of the workers who built the pyramids. They lived on bread and beer. What's not to love! In spite of Charlton Heston and the Ten Commandments movie, there is no evidence that the pyramids were built by Hebrew slaves.
