In a dependant and enslaved country.
1) Make it well known that you are ideologically opposed to it.

2) However, declare that you will NOT obstruct the bill in anyway, nor any operation of law that concerns.

3) While the program is destroying itself, make it well known that you are not interfering in any way; forcing all the blame onto those who created Obamacare in the first place.

The best way to fight obamacare now is to let it happen with a never ending hammer. Every day should bring a half dozen or so sob stories about its horrors. Do what democrats do. Start a drum and keep it going 24/7.

Simply don't sign up. Period.

Currently, a very small percentage of individuals who are able to register at healthcare.gov actually sign up for policies.

Wait until YOU see the premiums, suckers.

It will completely collapse under its own weight. The entire program was not intended to help anybody. It was simply about Government control over a large segment of the American economy, and gathering an enormous amount of very specific, very personal information on millions of Americans that couldn't be gathered by the NSA through cell phone records or the internet.

Small Businesses Give Obamacare Mixed Reviews Despite Strong Signup Rates

NEW YORK -- NEW YORK (AP) — More small businesses than expected are signing up for health insurance on state exchanges that opened this month.

The exchanges, which began operating Oct. 1 under the new health care law, are designed to offer low-cost insurance for individuals and small businesses. Many business owners have been pleasantly surprised by the rates and coverage, according to accounts from owners and exchange officials. But some owners are disappointed and plan to buy insurance privately.

A spot check of exchanges across the U.S. shows the number of companies that have opened accounts on any state exchange so far tends to be in the hundreds. Officials note it's still early in the process given that policies sold on the exchanges won't take effect until Jan. 1.

New York, Minnesota and Vermont officials say small business enrollments have surpassed expectations. But signup rates differ widely partly because of the way the exchanges and plans are set up. In Maryland, the small business exchange won't open until Jan. 1. In Washington state, the small business exchange exists in only two of 39 counties. Insurers aren't offering coverage elsewhere because most employers have private insurance plans or get their coverage through trade groups, says Michael Marchand, a spokesman for the exchange.

No, it actually will not. People are now dependent on it considering the majority of Americans are going to get subsidized. Prices WILL adjust, we will be stuck and the image that the majority of the electorate will see is one of free shit.

Essentially, we now have another SS and Medicare. Another impossible program to reform or significantly change that will last as long as the nation. This battle is already lost.

Well now, don't let the door hit you in the ass. In the meantime, we have a nation that still needs to follow the advice of Jefferson as it has for these nearly 240 years.

Within the context of this thread would you please quote said Jeffersonian advice?

I respectfully disagree. I think you're being too cynical. This law screws over 90% of people to advantage 10%. Even in America, that won't fly. Plus, the cost is outrageous, the website is godawful and not fixable because Obama doesn't want you to know the price up front. Hence you must spend 45 minutes loading very personal information into the HHS program before you even begin to know what you'll have to pay. None of that bodes well.

Now that this budget issue is done, the shit will start to be reported in a big way. Obamacare is toast, and I did not think the voters will forget who put this monster out there.

I believe FAQ2 is correct, while the government itself still exists, Obamacare (like Social Security) will function just ENOUGH to keep a critical mass of people content.

Maybe. We all know the middle class is going to take a massive hit with Obamacare. It depends on how pissed off people get, and how much it hurts Dems in 2014. My guess is it will hurt a lot. All the promises Obama made were lies (i.e. "you can keep your doctor," "The average family of four will save $2500 a year," "Obamacare won't raise the deficit one thin dime.," "you can keep your current plan if you like it.").

I suspect a lot of people will be real pissed when they find out what their insurance will cost next year. Time will tell. At some point the media will have to actually cover the story.

With some minor adjustments and corrections, it's not likely to destroy itself. The majority of people will most likely be okay with it. There is no doubt that it is far from perfect, and it is hurting certain people, but it's also going to help an awful lot more. The one thing that I hope that it really accomplishes is getting people to understand how much our healthcare system really costs. So many people are clueless, either because they have never actually had insurance in the past or never had to pay for it themselves. So many people get their health insurance through their employer and only pay a small percentage. When they see that they now have to pay $100 per paycheck rather than $75, they go bonkers. What they don't realize is that policy actually costs $800 to $900 per month, and in some cases even more.

The latest data I've seen estimates between 80%-90% of Americans will directly or indirectly take a financial hit with Obamacare. The primary victims will be the young, the healthy, and the middle class.

If you are very old, very sick, or have zero assets you will probably come out ahead...although the very poor basically pay nothing now anyway.

Think of Obamacare as a massive new tax to pay for the fuck ups and the very sick. In reality...that is what it is.

First of all, if you are very old then you are on Medicare. If you are very poor then you are already on Medicaid. If you are very sick, you should not be left on the street to fend for yourself with no help.

Now, you say the young, the healthy, and the middle class will all suffer. Why?

That is rather ironic considering that the ONE way to ensure that people have no idea as to how much healthcare actually costs is to increase insurance. Insurance is what makes those costs hidden in the first place. Obamacare exacerbates a HUGE basic problem that our healthcare has – no one has any clue what the value of anything actually is.

That should be extremely obvious. What Obamacare’s stated goals is to lessen the costs of the older, poorer and sicker by shifting it to the young and middle class. That is simple fact. Insurance USED to be based on your risk factors and now almost all risk factors have been deemed illegal. Things like age and previous health problems.

Basically, if you are young and healthy Obamacare sees you as a coffer that can be raided.

Those who suggested all of this before were referred to, in the words of Louie Gohmert, R Tx, aimed at John McCain, as AQ sympathizers.

I agree with 1 to 3, and add a #4: work diligently within the GOP to remove Tea Party terrorists.

And I would say that you are being WAY to optimistic. Look at the past. We have EXCELLENT programs top compare this to. Medicaid, Medicare and social security are some excellent examples. SS screws you over by taking 15% of your earnings and then giving you back a check with the absolute worse return on investment possible yet here we are when the program itself is in peril and the overwhelming majority of people are completely behind it.

It absolutely screws you over and the average person is willing to fight tooth and nail to ensiure that the program itself remains unchanged. Even simple things that we know are going to be needed like raising the collection age are vehemently opposed. It is why the republicans have gone absolutely nowhere in reforming entitlements. Eventually it is going to get done because the younger crowed is tired of the fact that it will not be there for them is something is not done and we know that we MUST fix the program but it is insanely difficult to do.

I don’t see how you think that Obamacare is so different that people are going to get it this time. This time is different. All people are going to see is that those evil insurance companies are trying to gouge us all and the benevolent government program is writing them a fat check to help them.

It is just like the tea party tbh. Here we have a fiscal hawk that wants to reduce government waste and handouts. Eliminate government subsidies and welfare but wait! As soon as you get to THEIR cheese:

If you think things are going to be different this time I want to know why because all the large government subsidized social programs never go away and I don’t see a whit of difference between the myriad of programs. They are all based around the same thing: government subsidy.
