The Collapse of Hamas is imminent

P F Tinmore, et al,

HAMAS (Islamic Resistance Movement) is a Palestinian faction that has taken-up the cause; that attempt to portray themselves with an image and face of a legitimate hostile defense force protecting the Palestinians from a brutal military occupation. But there must be a shortage of mirrors in the great state of Palestine. Because the Palestinians have not examined their image very well.

You're right Tinnie. Hamas never did anything to Israelis ! It was all just my imagination, right? All the attacks were fabricated Zionist conspiracies

Who was Israel's boogyman before there was Hamas?
Yasser Arafart?

Israel has never really been a nation that carried the excess baggage of paranoia. While it understands the scope and nature of the Arab threat to it sovereignty and continued existence, it doesn't really the monster underneath the bed. There is no "boogeyman," or mythical monster image that frightens the Israeli into compliant behavior; that would be giving into terrorism --- an idea beyond acceptance. In fact, the Palestinian Terrorist Campaigns have had the exact opposite effect. Instead of being frightened and hiding, the Israeli (in the tradition of Dr. Abraham Van Helsing) goes after the "boogeyman" where ever it can be found; and is not afraid to drive a stake through its heart.

Israel understands and can recognize the threat. It knows what it looks like and how it works. They have seen this evil persona before, they have faced worse, and they are not afraid.

Most Respectfully,

Exactly. Never again means never again. If Israel waited for world approval every time it contemplated military action to defend its national security interests, it wouldn't be around today.

The problem with that is that what right wing Zionists consider "national security interests", the thinking and intelligent world considers irredentism and Ein krieg fur Lebensraum.

"Existential threat" comes to mind. I have never heard that term used by any other country but Israel. Israel uses that term, for example, when it speaks of the BDS campaign. Israel also worries about delegitimization.

Israel has always used massive military force to secure its existence. In the new threats, massive military force is no longer an asset but a liability.

Attacking Israel is a liability. For anyone who decides to do so.

Would Israel need to use massive military force unless it felt threatened or has been attacked
