CDZ The cure for racism.

That woman is brilliant. She taught a life long lesson in 2 days, and those kids didn't just disapprove of discrimination, they hated it. That one little boy didn't just want to stomp on that collar of discrimination, he wanted to rip into to shreds. And the fact that she could produce the same results in adults was amazing. If there is a Nobel Prize for third grade teachers.......

Racism is learned.

A lively discussion could be had about whether or not such a lesson would even be permitted in a current third grade classroom.

.

Any "cure for racism" would have to include both "sides" of the issue taking an honest look in the mirror and cleaning their own house first.

Which, as we know, ain't gonna happen.

That is absolutely perfect. Third graders figured it out. Why haven't you?

Well, that's one vote for double standards, hypocrisy and institutionalized racialism.

Yes, we should all be non racists -- except, of course, all those who don't have to.

It wouldn't be allowed to be taught today because we might upset someone's widdle feelwings. We are raising idiot marshmallows. Those children grew up to be adults that passed on what they learned to their children.
If all children, black white brown, learned about the effects of discrimination before it was ingrained into their system, what is happening today would not be.
Little children get it. Let's start there. And by the way, she still had time to teach them cursive....

A teacher with that kind of imagination would never survive in public school today. She would be railroaded by a handful of whining parents.
