The difference between what blacks say they want and what the GOP says they want

So I'm watching these guys on CNN giving speeches at the 50th in DC and I was struck at the difference between rhetoric. I switched it over to FOX but they weren't doing the same coverage.

Some speech highlights were "Rosa Parks was not a ho or a bitch, stop making money off of saying such things".

Pull your pants up.

We need jobs. To get jobs, we need to invest in education and infrastructure.

We need to stay away from guns.

I missed any reference calling for more food stamps or welfare or any of the things Republicans say they want.

I did hear a lot of "We are all Americans and should work together". The (Ayn) Rand Paul Republicans call that "socialism".

No one mentioned how GOP policies devastated the economy under Bush, only what can we do about it now. Notice, there are no suggestions from the GOP on anything besides tearing things down or obstruction.

Will there be a GOP march? The last one under Glenn Beck was a hoot. All that stuff about freedom quickly followed by voter suppression. And we know it's not just about ID's. Republicans won't even discuss lines lasting hours or cutting early voting in Democratic districts. They only want to talk about ID's and pretend the rest goes undiscussed.

Democrats tell poor Blacks that they must rely on government to care for their needs. Setting the bar low for them is real racism.

Oh Stephie dear, you were already sick. We've known that for a long time. It's nothing new.

In one tiny post, you lied at least 6 times. It's a wonder you're able to function at all. Lucky you're able to make a "quick buck" or you would really have problems. Ones worse than those you have now.

Since Republicans say that government can't create jobs and we know from the DOW that business is booming, it seems business is creating jobs. Overseas, where Republicans helped them move.

So why the whining about Obama and jobs? Didn't you get what you want under the GOP?

Democrats keep telling "poor blacks" that they must rely on government???? How come no black people are saying that? In fact, the only people I hear saying that are racist and lying white Republicans.

You see, the blacks that are part of the Democratic Party, are actually a part of the party. They aren't "led" around the same way you guys are by the Republican "elite". In the Republican Party, you have white GOP leaders who fill their ignorant base with nonsense, like saying education is for snobs or let him die and the base is so fucking dumb, they believe it.

If blacks thought the way Republicans say they do, they would have talked like that at today's event. But they didn't. They talked about education and jobs and children being shot in the street by armed black youth and by Republican supported people like "Zimmerman" who shot an unarmed kid who only walked to the store for some candy before a game. They talked about the need to confront violence and put in place policies that would end it or at least slow it down. They talked about rebuilding American infrastructure.

What are Republicans talking about? End health care, cut taxes for billionaires and hate Obama. Is that about right?

Thank Gaea we have a white liberal to tell us what blacks want.

I'm not telling you anything. I believe blacks should have their own voice. Don't you?

You missed reality also.

If you want to know what the civil rights movement was about I suggest you read Dr. King's defense of it.

You express a great deal of anxiety over our willingness to break laws. This is certainly a legitimate concern. Since we so diligently urge people to obey the Supreme Court’s decision of 1954 outlawing segregation in the public schools, at first glance it may seem rather paradoxical for us consciously to break laws. One may well ask: “How can you advocate breaking some laws and obeying others?” The answer lies in the fact that there are two types of laws: just and unjust. I would be the first to advocate obeying just laws. One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. I would agree with St. Augustine that “an unjust law is no law at all.”

Now, what is the difference between the two? How does one determine whether a law is just or unjust? A just law is a man-made code that squares with the moral law or the law of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law. To put it in the terms of St. Thomas Aquinas: An unjust law is a human law that is not rooted in eternal law and natural law. Any law that uplifts human personality is just. Any law that degrades human personality is unjust. All segregation statutes are unjust because segregation distorts the soul and damages the personality. It gives the segregator a false sense of superiority and the segregated a false sense of inferiority. Segregation, to use the terminology of the Jewish philosopher Martin Buber, substitutes an “I-it” relationship for an “I-thou” relationship and ends up relegating persons to the status of things. Hence segregation is not only politically, economically and sociologically unsound, it is morally wrong and awful. Paul Tillich said that sin is separation. Is not segregation an existential expression ‘of man’s tragic separation, his awful estrangement, his terrible sinfulness? Thus it is that I can urge men to obey the 1954 decision of the Supreme Court, for it is morally right; and I can urge them to disobey segregation ordinances, for they are morally wrong.

Let us consider a more concrete example of just and unjust laws. An unjust law is a code that a numerical or power majority group compels a minority group to obey but does not make binding on itself. This is difference made legal. By the same token, a just law is a code that a majority compels a minority to follow and that it is willing to follow itself. This is sameness made legal.

Letter from a Birmingham Jail [King, Jr.]

That doesn't sound anything like what the idiots you listen to blather about, does it?

Of course I do. And when any black dares voice an opinion contrary to that which white liberals have dictated, he gets all sorts of vile abuse.

You believe blacks should have their own voice -- but only as long as they say what the left tells them.

What has Obama done to help poor urban blacks? He has done nothing in regard to : education needs, the restoration of the two parent family and protecting them from the drug lords and gangs?

Hey idiot, Democrats have been in power since 2007. What the fuck makes you think they're going to focus on "creating jobs" or the economy? All they cared about was ramming through their prgoressive agenda, called Obamacare, before anyone could even read it. The Democrats don't give two shits about people without jobs, in fact they prefer more people to be in a desperate situation....it keeps them voting Dem. After all its the D-bags that promise more and more welfare.

Obama inherited his own fucking mess, it was progressive shitbags just like him that fucked up the financial industry. But I keep forgetting, Barney Frank was a (D)-bag so he can't take any responsibility for the clusterfuck he created. Its all still Boooooooooosh!!!!
