and even will they exist with consumer spending dropping with the Delta Variant?
"I'm done with extensions,” Manchin told Insider last week. “The economy is stronger now, the job market is stronger. Nine million jobs we can’t fill. We’re coming back.”

The U.S. added 943,000 jobs in July and saw the unemployment rate drop from 5.9 percent to 5.4 percent as the country ended the month with a record 10 million job openings. Labor force participation also picked up as an increasing percentage of workers got vaccinated and returned to the job search.

But progressives argue it’s still too soon to pull support for struggling Americans given the uncertainty created by another wave of COVID-19 and disparities in the pace of recovery along demographic lines.

Time to move on. These jobs need to be filled. We'll probably see an uptick in the UE as these people finally re-enter the workforce.

Let's go.

Let's hope there is no extension, no more rent moratoriums, it is time to get back to work and start returning to normal.

Hell, $300 a week, no rent, help with utility bills, tax credits for kids, why would a person feel a need to work?

It is ridiculous to have millions of job openings across the board and then not only be paying unemployment to millions but to be supplementing it as well.

In red states that ended federal unemployment benefits did they see an drop in the unemployment rate? Did people run back to those low wage, no benefit and crazy hours shit jobs?

In TN the republic governor was touting the the state had 250,000 job openings....what was left unsaid was that less than 4,000 paid over $20,000 per year and most of those had no benefits.
