Pure capitalism, as practiced by the human species, allows for terrible abuses. The workers and the environment have long paid through the nose for the mansions of the rich. But with some restraints, capitalism works better than communism, since it gives incentive to people to innovate, compete, and take responsibility for a better mousetrap. Why would Russia and China, the two largest communist countries in the world, be allowing limited capitalism and getting a better economy as a result?
Communism, on the other hand, has never actually worked as well, although it SOUNDS good on paper. You have to include humans in the equation, since they are there to screw up everyone's nice theories everytime.

Human greed will kill it every time and you can not breed it out nor can you brainwash the society to the point it will no longer have it.

Define pure capitalism. I've only seen the term by people who can't define it or confuse capitalism with anarchy.

Communism on paper sounds horrible, I can't see how anyone with anything going for themselves thinks it looks good. The only ones that benefit are the few ultra rich and the unable or unwilling.

Capitalism allows you to reach your full potential, no other system comes close. Doesn't mean you will but at least you have a chance. Capitalism cannot function without constraints and no definition allows for it. It can only work in a stable system where all agree to monetary terms, roads, trains, hospitals, police, military, etc.
