The gay couples' taxes help protect the bakery; Shouldnt the be allowed to shop in it

still whining over a cake

twisted screwed up priorities and logic because they pay taxes...

A burglar probably pays taxes too so he should be allowed to steal everything in your home

good gawd, you people can whine on and on and on over the dumbest things
We have a law against that, just like we have about when you can refuse to bake a cake. See how that works? Laws to make society a better place for us all.

If these businesses feel so strong in their convictions why not put out a sign in front of their store saying, 'We'd rather not serve Homos!' Be loud and proud about it. But they won't. Gotta keep those feelings secret.

Conservatives are just too stupid to realize they've lost on this issue. It's delightful and depressing all at once.

Conservatives didn't have a hand in this except the people in Arizona
but that won't stop you all from lying

As you can see, Stephanie's not all that big on distinguishing legal vs illegal.

The so-called bakery owned by the religious person who doesn't like gay people......is protected by local and state police and fire departments. Paid for by all the taxpayers.

So, that gay couple pays taxes, that in part go to the benefit of that bakery.

Poor argument. My house is protected the same way. Am I supposed to let everyone in?

So, when that gay couple walks in and says "We'd like to buy a 3 layer chocolate cake please", and a straight couple walks in requesting the same type cake, and both couples are taxpayers, and the bakery benefits from police and fire protection funded in part by both couples' tax money............how can that baker refuse to service one couple with the SAME product as the other?

My taxes help protect my neighbor's wife, shouldn't I be able to ....?

Your house isn't a business dumbass. Its why OSHA doesn't come inspect it either.

You cant be this......nevermind. You are.

Nope. Because her taxes go to protect her from you.

BUT, more importantly..........did you really just equate a gay couple buying a cake....to raping your neighbors wife?

And right wingers wonder how they lost in 2012 against what otherwise was a failed 1st term president.

Shitbag, take a look at the First Amendment.

Freedom of RELIGION and speech.

You can't force someone to support your cause with their voice or actions. You can't force someone to do an action to support your cause.

No business can discriminate based on someone "being gay" but they have the right to say they won't take part in a gay wedding.

Shut the fuck up, shitbag.

And then came the Civil Rights movement, and all the laws that came with it.

You don't have to "take part" by baking a damn cake and letting them carry it out the door.

Gay couple can walk in and buy all the cake they want, what they can't do is demand the baker attend their wedding to set up the cake. See the difference?

Scratch a liberal find a fascist

How sad that saying is true

take this cake thing as an example...

You cant be this......nevermind. You are.

You did not make that distinction, dumb ass. Your entire premise is that because it's protected by tax dollars everyone who pays taxes has a right to enter.

Even narrowing that down to businesses, though, what if they are on welfare and don't pay any taxes? Then what benefit is going to bakery?

Son-of-a-bitch.

The US of A is just a gigantic commune.

Paying taxes means that businessmen give up their right to freely associate.

Who knew?

Indeed. I'm mocking your suggestion that paying taxes entitles you to the servitude of your neighbors.

I didn't think I'd need to explain to you that a bakery is a business, and your house is not. Your intellect........I underestimated it.

If they are going into the bakery to pay for something, that is money for the bakery. And the person on welfare pays taxes: Sales tax, gas tax, etc. By YOUR logic, you'd say that because a person on welfare doesn't pay taxes, then they shouldn't receive police protection, thus we should be able to murder and rape people on welfare (WAIT, some of you right wingers just got excited, just to clarify, you cannot do that).

Asswipe, they want people with religious views opposed to gay marriage to do an action in support of that gay marriage....that is illegal.

You can't force someone to do something in this country against their legal religious views.

Denying someone service on the basis of them being gay is illegal, but making them do something to support an event/action by that gay person is illegal.

Like I said before....now anyone can sue a business for not catering to their group.

The NRA wants to rent out some conference room/hotel for a GUN party/conference....you can't violate their rights by denying them business.

Some porn industry people want to rent out a facility for a porn shoot or porn conference....you can't deny them business.
