In a Republic, actually
“Gov. John Kasich on Friday signed a controversial bill into law, banning abortions after a prenatal test shows the fetus has Down syndrome.
[…]
Opponents say such a law would damage doctor-patient relationships and does nothing to improve lives of those with Down syndrome.”

Ohio Governor signs Down syndrome abortion ban

In addition to being un-Constitution per Whole Woman’s Health.

For the authoritarian right it’s about more government, bigger government – more government interfering in citizens’ personal lives, and conservatives’ contempt for the right to privacy and individual liberty.

They continue with this crap even though the Supreme Court slaps them down every time.

But to you cons who think the Republican party is against abortion - They've controlled both houses of Congress and the Presidency for a year. Where are all the new laws that were passed and signed by orange turd that ban abortion? Where is the huge drive by Republicans to get abortion banned?

It is non-existent because they could care less about babies, they only use babies as a political football because they know you idiots operate on pure emotion and you NEVER put two and two together. That the Republican party NEVER does anything about abortion even when they have control of the whole government.

You don't ever ask why?

Too many Democrats in the Republican Party.

“Both the admitting-privileges and the surgical-center requirements place a substantial obstacle in the path of women seeking a previability abortion, constitute an undue burden on abortion access, and thus violate the Constitution.”

WHOLE WOMAN’S HEALTH v. HELLERSTEDT

As with the invalidated Texas law, the Ohio measure likewise constitutes an undue burden to the right to privacy.

Yet Republicans passed this law repugnant to the Constitution in spite of settled, accepted 14th Amendment jurisprudence that is beyond dispute.

Such is the right’s contempt for the rule of law.

14th Amendment? Absurd.

All law can be revisited. There is no such thing as "settled law". Case law and precedent cannot change the Constitution.

Wow...murdering an innocent child because of a disability is where you want to make your Constitutional stand?

There is nothing, anywhere in the Constitution, that credibly supports a “right” to kill unborn children in cold blood. Nothing. Roe Vs. Wade was a corrupt and evil ruling, by a corrupt court, that twisted and perverted the Constitution in order to claim that it supported something that it very clearly does not. It's bizarre how those of you on the left wrong can get the courts to make up “Constitutional rights” that are nowhere mentioned, implied, or even suggested by the actual text of the Constitution, while dismissing and denying rights which are explicitly affirmed and protected in the Constitution.

If there is anything that shows contempt for the rule of law, it is this—twisting the highest law to mean what you want it to mean, in opposition to taking it to mean what it clearly says.

Such is the left's love of genocide. Abortion is a life and death issue, not a privacy issue.

The left's contempt for the rule of law is staggering. The immense cost of illegals, sanctuary cities, the destructive "protests" like Occupy Wall Street, the Pipeline, the BLM riots.....and because one governor wants to try to end the genocide of children with Down's Syndrome ....he's lawless.

The fascist want to control your life in every little way...They have a lot of nerve to attack us when we want to spend money on infrastructure, science and education that benefits our society in general.

They don't have a problem with throwing millions of people in prison over every tiny thing and doing fascist shit.

Just stop the Constitutional argument. There is nothing in the Constitution about killing children. Be honest. You want to end these lives because they are inconvenient, make you sad or you really wanted a boy.

I am all for liberals killing off their own next generation. Just don't say there is some constitutional authority for the murders.
