The GOP Understands the United States’ Economic Need for Undocumented Workers

The Republicans have long understood the economic needs of the United States’ businesses. But, for all his self-proclaimed business acumen, it has become obvious to the congressional Republicans that Der Gropenfuher does not.

Historically, the GOP is famous for their business-friendly agenda, it is a condition the Party’s major political donors demand from the candidates whose campaigns they finance.

One of the conditions all Republicans in government must meet is to keep wages under control. This is why the GOP is determined to kill unions and stall, or better yet, cut the minimum wage at both the state and federal levels.

California’s agriculturally rich Central Valley is a bastion of conservatism. The vast majority of farmers and businessmen there are registered Republicans, and they too expect Republican politicians to create every method possible to cut their costs of doing business.

In addition to controlling wages, and to satisfy other demands of those they serve, the GOP is also determined to eliminate regulations that protect our air and drinking water supplies, and the laws that protect workers, consumers, and small investors.

Any and all cost reducing tactics are acceptable to business leaders, this includes the many years the congressional Republicans ignored pleas from working class whites to reform immigration policy. But for the congressional Republicans to do this, would be a betrayal to the fat cats they serve exclusively.

Republicans in all levels of government have been made to understand the necessity of undocumented workers and the many benefits of hiring them rather than American citizens.

But the arrival of Der Gropenfurher and his proposed crackdown on undocumented workers has thrown a monkey wrench into this important aspect of the Republicans’ machinery to keep business costs down, and this has the Central Valley farmers mentioned above deeply concerned.

Across the nation undocumented workers have replaced U.S. citizens in jobs in construction, manufacturing, agri-business, etc. Their willingness to work for much lower wages and their undocumented status permit employers to avoid the added costs of benefits, Social Security withholding (both the employers’ and employees’ parts), state disability insurance, workman’s compensation insurance, state and federal income tax withholding, and other payroll fees.

All companies that hire, and especially those that exploit undocumented workers, must face the dire possibility that Der Gropenfurher could require all employers to use the Homeland Security Department’s program called E-verify. The program is designed to stop the use of fraudulent documents, and will seriously impact corporate profits should the use of the program become law. Currently, only a few states require businesses to use the program. In most states it is voluntary and is used by only a small percentage of businesses.

Der Gropenfurher’s voters expect him to keep his promise to deport 11 million illegal aliens. But the congressional Republicans hold the majority, and understand full well they owe the businessmen dependent upon the cheap labor provided by undocumented workers every effort to prevent this.

Despite their firm belief they are experts in everything, conservatives simply cannot grasp the economic turmoil the loss of undocumented workers would cause. However, their Republican congressmen/women do understand this, but also realize they would have lost voters had they ever tried to explain these facts to their right wing base.

Attacking?

You have no understanding of the depth of this issue.

Try educating yourself before you make a fool of yourself.

Oops, that's right, conservatives are against education of any kind.
