Colin Powell was the company man for years, but when he chose to think independently and endorsed Obana, white republicans lost their minds.

I really thought Colin Powell had some integrity and was presidential material until he got up on the stage and spread that horse crap about yellow cake to justify an invasion. It worked because he had a lot of following. Maybe he really believed it, I don't know, but he certainly lost any credibility he had worked so hard to acquire. He certainly wasn't the only one, but he got thrown under the bus like a professional soldier. The same shit is going down right now in Ukraine, the lying and money changing hands and we're still looking through a soda straw at some imagined racism and refuse to see the whole picture. Things never change because we like it like this, no real need to commit and we think we know enough to be "right".
