The right to privacy seems inalienable. Although I do see where law enforcement can ask you for ID and you don't have the right to deny them. You must show ID or you can be detained. Right? So really you don't have an absolute right to privacy other wise you could tell a cop no when they ask you for ID


In some states, you're not required to show identification unless you're driving a vehicle and the police officer has reasonable suspicion that you have committed a crime or a traffic violation. For example, in Michigan, passengers in a vehicle can refuse to show identification if the police don't have reasonable suspicion that they have committed a crime.
