The GOP's socialist scare

You don't force competition you allow for it... and you don't get it via the government... you get it by taking the government out of it....
Competition is not a mandated event.... it happens due to capitalism....

Let's take college for example. University of Phoenix is a cheaper school but no one wants to go. It's not a public school it's private. How come the shittiest school out there is a private school?

And how come college tuition doesn't come down? There are lots of schools out there.

Community colleges are usually cheaper than four-year universities because they don't have on-campus dorms and can be commuted to. In 2022, the average yearly tuition and other costs at community colleges were $3,800, compared to $10,740 at four-year state universities. Private four-year colleges cost about $35,000 on average, and Ivy League schools can cost up to $76,000.

In Michigan, tuition is free for in-district students

Michigan giving students free 2 years of school should lower the cost of 4 year colleges. Or cost them money because who wouldn't go to a community college first if it's free and all their credits transfer?

Yes, community colleges are public colleges that are funded by tax dollars.

University of Phoenix is a good school... just like any school its what you make of it... just because Ivy league schools cost more does not mean you get a good education....

I went to University of Phoenix while I also worked for them. I was getting a masters. I didn't finish because I got a better job and if I quit, I would have to pay for the remaining classes. I didn't need a masters so I just said fuck it and quit.

BUT, just going to Phoenix I got a couple jobs. Just talking to potential employers about what they teach at UofP is good enough to get you a job. Comparing it to traditional college which is not meant for busy working adults. At Phoenix, you go to class once a week, you meet outside of class with classmates to work on group projects. You give powerpoint presentations weekly. You write papers weekly. You read weekly. EVERYTHING an employer could ask for.

Compared to traditional schools who graduate kids who are 21, don't know how to look for a job, interview, do public speaking, don't know how to work in teams.

And everyone in the class at Phoenix is a working adult with life experiences. So we all share our life experiences with each other. What do traditional students share with each other besides crabs and a bong? LOL.
