The GOP's socialist scare

Didn't you start a thread about hypocrisy yesterday??????
Loser.
First,

Bernie Is Not a Socialist and America Is Not Capitalist

like it or not, socialism is back in fashion and it is gaining support among America’s youth. A recent YouGov survey found that 43 percent of respondents under the age of 30 had a favorable view of socialism. Only 32 percent had a favorable view of capitalism.

Another recent survey, this one by Republican pollster Frank Luntz, found in the words of U.S. News’s Ken Walsh that “[58] percent of young people choose socialism over capitalism [which was chosen by 33 percent of young people] … as the most compassionate system. Sixty-six percent say corporate America ‘embodies everything that is wrong with America,’ compared with 34 percent who say corporate America embodies what’s right with America. A plurality of 28 percent say the most pressing issue facing the country is income inequality—one of [Senator Bernie] Sanders’ top themes.”

I forgot to say, America is part capitalism part socialism. And that's how it should be. Government is the referee and right now government is in the pockets of corporations and rich people. Google Harlan Crow and Clarence Thomas.

She's a Socialist! He's a Communist!

Sorry Republicans, but you're not scaring people with that anymore.

Today's internet age has given Americans a view into the way other countries operate. They see the countries of Europe with their high taxes and government benefits to the masses, and see hundreds of millions of better educated, healthier, happier people than in America. Communist countries such as China and Viet Nam have economies that have proven reasonably stable, with qualities of life far above the 3rd world standards of the past. Mention socialism to those under 40, with little or no memory of the cold war, and it barely rates a shrug. Right wing predictions of America turning into a socialist hellhole during the Clinton, Obama, and Biden administrations never materialized. Sorry Republicans, you'll have to find another scare tactic. This one isn't scary anymore. 😏

If you raise your kids right in 20 years you'll dominate. But you know your kids will not respect you and they'll vote Democratic. They will identify as they them.

Most of his old friends want nothing to do with him and he hates that being a right wing president cost him his celebrity friends. He's still popular at boxing, mma and WWE events though.

This is Republicans problem. They can't discuss intelligently. We are not a 100% free market capitalist country nor should we be. I wish Libertarians would point to one country doing it their way and say look see? It works! But no such country exists.

Even if there was in Europe, it'd be a small country like Denmark. But even those countries regulate industry. I wonder how much Capitalism plays a role in Switzerland. Like, we know all the companies want to go there so probably low taxes like Ireland has a low corporate tax rate of 12.5 percent.

Anyways, Republicans believe we should be less regulated, Democrats believe some things need to be more regulated than they are now.

College
Healthcare
Grocery Stores
Monopolies
Amazon

And does pure capitalism like unions? Bet they don't. That's because they hate labor. If it's asking for a raise that is.

One thing the GOP and the democrats ignore about taxes has been one of the highest, most important taxes. The "inflation tax" that's created every time they borrow from the fed, and spend more than they take in.
Although the GOP has borrowed and spent more than the democrats, both have done it way too much.

Democrats brag about increasing the minimum wage. And 90% of their voters don't realize that the reason they increase it is because the value of the USD has dropped so much, that minimum wages have to be increased.
The GOP don't necessarily brag about it, but neither the left or the right will admit that COLA increases are a symptom of a problem they create every time they borrow and spend too much.

IE: $15hr now is a poverty wage. Gas is over $3 gallon. The cost of everything increases because the value of the USD decreases.

If we had common sense conservatism coming from our elected officials, $5hr would still be a livable wage. Not a poverty wage. Jobs would've never left the country. The US would still be the manufacturing giant of the world. So much so that illegal immigration wouldn't hardly be a notable problem. And countries like China would still have a trade deficit with the USD.

I can't believe how many white people I know who think Trump is the lesser of two evils.

And I LOVE it when my Republican friends realize they can't get me vote for Trump, suddenly they tell me they are big HUGE RFK Jr. supporters and that's who they are going to vote for.

Liars.
Be happy they’re not me. I’d tell you to go commit a personal sexual act and lose my phone number and email address.

An Abortion is the taking of an innocent potential human
life. What part of that description troubles yer conscience.
If none than you don't Possess a Conscience.
Which translates into yer not fully Human.
Yer Sanity has been displaced. Not Goot.
meaning if you were a Dog then it would be necessary to
shout ... Bad Dog ... Bad Dog !

By all measures. I mean you can nit pick but basically he's crushing it.
The Border Patrol says differently.

I know several who work there. They have a huge moral problem. They all detest Biden and Harris.

You typify the low information voter.

Do you think I want to have a conservative person in my life who's a political snowflake?

I'm so fucking glad you guys are going to lose this one. Did you feel the energy last night? It felt like Trump's convention right after a deep state globalist gun nut RINO tried to take him out. Wind at your backs. It wasn't if you were going to win but by how much. Wha happened? Maybe you shouldn't have pointed out how old Biden was. He'd still be our nominee.

Trump knew it when he stopped whipping him in the debate. Trump for the first time took it easy on an opponent but not because he felt bad. He wanted Biden to stay in the race.

If Trump wants, he can pull a Biden and make JD the head of the ticket. And Nikki the VP. I should shut up. That might steal our MOJOmentum.

There is no such right.

If we want it, we need to amend the Constitution.
The United States Constitution doesn't explicitly mention the right to privacy, but the Supreme Court has found that several amendments imply privacy rights:

  • Fourth Amendment: Protects against unreasonable searches

  • Fifth Amendment: Provides the right against self-incrimination, which can justify protecting private information

  • First Amendment: Can protect the privacy of the home
In the 1965 landmark case Griswold v. Connecticut, the Supreme Court found that the Constitution creates a "zone of privacy" when you take the penumbras of these amendments together. The court used this implied right to privacy to establish the freedom of individuals to use contraception without government interference. The court has also used the right to privacy to justify decisions in other cases affecting civil liberties, such as Roe v. Wade, which found that a woman's choice to have an abortion is a fundamental personal decision that deserves privacy protection.
