If I hold up an egg fresh from the carton , do you call it an egg or an egg shell. You say one egg or an egg... Each part of that egg has a purpose and they all work together. We don't know the names of the gospel writers.. They have come to be called Matthew, Mark, Luke and Joh, but the were all written decades after the crucifixion.

They all existed decades before being written down, and they were all contemporary with the times, and not 'invented' or rewritten hundreds of years later. There are no anachronisms in the NT.

None of the gospels were written by the men who's names they are attributed to, this is admitted by the church fathers and written about by people like Cardinal Newman.
Now think rationally, if surviving Branch Davidians wrote books in the name of dead Davidians claiming their belief and trust in David Koresh to lead them to the kingdom, is that fair since their opinion in death changes to "we hoped him to be the one, but he failed to deliver us and brought us to the firey pit instead."
