The systemic denial of this Section places Canada in a direct, head-on course with America and your system. When PETs government produced the Charter of Rights and Freedoms it was met with resistance by the RCMP and their police surrogates in Ontario, imagine that. This section had to be the one which angered them the most.
Section 7 – Life, liberty and security of the person-
Provision
7. Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of the person and the right not to be deprived thereof except in accordance with the principles of fundamental justice.
Purpose
Section 7 of the Charter requires that laws or state actions that interfere with life, liberty and security of the person conform to the principles of fundamental justice — the basic principles that underlie our notions of justice and fair process.
General
The guarantees under section 7 typically arise in connection with the administration of justice, which has in turn been defined as “the state’s conduct in the course of enforcing and securing compliance with the law”
Why would a nation target someone over the course of 33 years?
Simple, to protect their OWN abusers and their own criminals.
