The Republican had enough control to change the rules in mid stream to be able to confirm the 3 ultra conservative Federalist Society judges on the SC with a simple majority. His tax cuts were not revenue neutral and should never have been allowed in that reconciliation bill.

There were hundred of judgeships being stalled. Also the GOP was able to use the same rule change to confirm federal judges. No president will be allow to appoint a SC justice unless their party controls the Senate, and we will have more radical(left and right)SC justices.
