Obama seems to think he can do anything he wants. He refuses to enforce laws that he doesn't like, including immigration, and the ACA itself. What can we do to stop him? Simple, take back Congress.
Executive Orders aren't even in the Constitution. They are rules that require Congress to look the other way in order for them to be enacted. When a POTUS signs an executive order Congress has a set time period to respond and counter the order. If they don't, it becomes accepted law. Congress could stop him if they wanted to, but as long as Harry Reid is the leader of the Senate Obama pretty much does what he wants. If Obama decided to do the unthinkable I feel the media would applaud him, and the Senate would remain silent. That is why we're in this mess.
Obama lost the moral high ground when Congress passed his new debt limit. It hasn't been signed yet, but this is merely a formality. The House has decided to give Obama all the spending he wants and to let the voters punish him this November. Who knows what kind of a backlash this will cause for Republicans. It removed liberal talking-points of an obstructive congress and it ends the era of trying to prevent the damage that Democrat policies will cause. The trick is making sure who gets the blame.
