The public strongly opposes Trump firing Mueller and would prefer the president testify in the investigation.

In the most recent CNN survey, 78 percent of Americans overall said that Trump should testify, including a clear majority of both those who approve of his performance as president and self-described Republicans. A CBS poll last month found that 84 percent of Americans said Trump should talk to Mueller if asked, including 73 percent of Republicans.

According to the Economist/YouGov survey, just 14 percent of Americans thought Trump should fire Mueller, while 48 percent opposed that idea, with the rest of the respondents not sure. In a CBS News survey, 73 percent of respondents, including 56 percent of Republicans, said Trump should allow the Russian investigation to continue, as opposed to taking steps to end it.​

What a perfect time for Trump to get rid of his two favorite enemies. Rosenstein & Mueller. With his big time tax cuts for the wealthy and overwhelming support from his hard core supporters, he is again the darling of the Republican Party. His State of the Union address was nothing more than a Republican love fest. Even McConnell and Ryan have fallen into line behind the great leader. Did you notice him clapping for himself during the speech, just like Kim does in North Korea. With "total vindication" from the Nunes memo, why should the Russian investigation proceed any further? Time to strike, while the iron is hot.

The Republican voices of dissent against Trump have grown silent of late, even Lindsey Graham, who at best, utters mild criticism. So, with the strongest congressional support since taking office, what better time for Trump to get rid of his two worst enemies. At best, not wanting to p.o. the faithful, Republicans would toss out only mild rebukes.

It's coming folks, and sooner rather than later. Another big win for Trump is just around the corner.
