Well, McConnell has made it clear to all. The GOP is the enemy of the working and middle class. Anything that we have gained since 1900, they wish to reverse. From unions to Social Security and Medicare, their goald is to terminate the gains made by the majority of American Citizens.

We see what has happened in Wisconsin, now we are seeing the GOP's true goals in the upcoming battle over the debt ceiling. The GOP cares absolutely nothing about the average American, and regards them simply as useful idiots, or fodder to be used in empire building.

They would gut the sytems that protect the seniors in this nation, and take us back to the days when surviving to old age meant poverty for the vast majority that did that. Their goal is for older citizens to die as quickly as possible when then can no longer earn a profit for the corperations. Reducing access to medical care and maintenance pharmceuticals is a very good way to do that.

Time to give all them a permenant vacation. We cannot afford the toadies of the corperations in power any longer.

You're main point is that it's not the conservatives who offer free housing, healthcare, food, education, Medicare, and so on. This would mean, in your opinion, that your typical conservative could careless about the average american.

But, lets take a real look at what you're saying here. The Liberals are the one here who are keeping the average american in a hole, because they offer these programs, which encourage the lower-class to stay in that hole they're in, because hey, what the hell, if you can get something for free, why not!

If the conservatives had their way, it would be a much more competitive culture here in the US, because guess what? They wouldn't offer some of the programs a liberal would, which would mean that the conservatives are saying "Hey, get the hell out there and start working hard, because in America, you can make as much money as you want." But, of course, the Liberals dig them in this hole where an average american only collects this much money to get by (At taxpayer expense).

Of course, I'm not saying all these programs suck. But, I am saying, that we do need a more competitive culture in America, and the Liberals sure aren't helping it. These programs encourage laziness within the common man.

Alright, first off, to be honest, I didn't go on to read the rest of you're post after this.

Lets not blame Reagan for not seeing the happenings of 9/11 before they occurred, because in all reality, Clinton had a much better vision at that time than Reagan.

Also, Reagan took a much stronger approach against terrorism than Clinton ever did. I think it's safe to say that Clinton had a way better opportunity to have foreseen the events of 9/11 than Reagan.
