Now he's just looking for a graceful way out.

The thing is, Putin had some legitimate issues about self-determination of ethnic Russians in the Donbass and not wanting Ukraine in NATO.

Going to war was not the way to resolve them. He's actually managed to revitalize NATO, which was dying on the vine slowly.

If you Russians were smart (and you aren't), you'd depose Putin and start working with the west towards modernization.

The West was not bullying Russia. The West wanted to integrate Russia into the global economy. That’s over now because Russian leadership misunderstood its standing in the world.

Russia is perceived as the bully by its neighbors. It has committed atrocities and genocide. That’s why Poland, Ukraine, the Baltics, Finland are telling Russia to fuck off. When they look at Russia and look at the West and who they want to be a part of, it’s a no brainer.

Today they offer a putrid chauvinistic and revanchist 19th century form of ethno-Nationalism that appeals to those who consider other peoples inferior, and that they have the intrinsic right to dominate others. That’s about as anti-American as it gets.
