“Frank Bruni, formerly the New York Times’s White House reporter and now a columnist for the paper, has a long, long op-ed that is unintentionally revealing. It is headlined, ‘Will the Media Be Trump’s Accomplice Again in 2020?’ As though the press were pro-Trump in 2016! ‘We have a second chance. Let’s not blow it.’ A second chance to help a Democrat beat Donald Trump.”

Just think of them as Democratic operatives with bylines and you won’t go far wrong.

We the Press

Bruni's piece was an op-ed and was in the opinion section. For all Trump's lies about the media, the media in the run up to his election including the primary battles gave him what some estimate as a billion dollars worth of free air time. It was no accident that Les Moonves said, in so many words, that Trump may be a disaster for the nation but great for the media's bottom line. Bruni's point is don't do it again. He's right.

Trump won by the narrowest of margins of the isolated and mostly racist rural areas of a few states, that will surely change, many Americans may still be tribalist souls but reality must occasionally enter their heads. Trump is a failure and a crook.

"What is patriotism? Let us begin with what patriotism is not. It is not patriotic to dodge the draft and to mock war heroes and their families. It is not patriotic to discriminate against active-duty members of the armed forces in one's companies, or to campaign to keep disabled veterans away from one's property. It is not patriotic to compare one's search for sexual partners in New York with the military service in Vietnam that one has dodged. It is not patriotic to avoid paying taxes, especially when American working families do pay. It is not patriotic to ask those working, taxpaying American families to finance one's own presidential campaign, and then to spend their contributions in one's own companies. It is not patriotic to admire foreign dictators. It is not patriotic to cultivate a relationship with Muammar Gaddafi; or to say that Bashar al-Assad and Vladimir Putin are superior leaders. It is not patriotic to call upon Russia to intervene in an American presidential election. It is not patriotic to cite Russian propaganda at rallies." Why I Know Why Poor Whites Chant Trump, Trump, Trump

"Some of the presidential profiteering appears more direct: On the day he assumed office, Trump took the unusual step of immediately launching his reelection campaign. Donor money kept flowing, and Trump’s companies have kept charging rent to the campaign. The result: America’s first billionaire president has turned more than $900,000 of donations into revenue for himself, without putting up a dime."

Papers don’t print anything unless they want you to hear it.

And they wanted you to hear a NY Times employee stating they must work hard to defeat Trump.

If it lets you sleep thinking 304-227 is close, so be it.

Actually, I was making fun of him for lying about his big his win actually was.

Trump outsmarted the Media in 2016. THEY thought that by bad-mouthing him constantly, and weekly coming up with some new outrage, they would prevent him from winning the election. But he knew that his base was eating it up, and becoming more and more convinced that "if these ass-holes at the NYT hate him, he MUST be ok."

The future effect is still unknown. The MSM has been exposed, day after day, as Leftist hacks to which only Leftist fools listen. But there are millions of them.

We'll see. It entirely depends on whom the Democrats end up nominating.

Hillary had 4MM more votes in CA, when you realize that CA has 6MM Illegals voting her margin of "Victory" on the popular vote is a sham

It's like Global Warming, we have consensus that Voter Fraud keep the democrat Party competitive.

Don't believe me? Here's what democrat say, "The DNC’s top leaders have been telling people that Hoffman’s project (accurate voter database) represents an “existential threat" to the party, according to two sources with knowledge of the discussions."

LinkedIn co-founder backs $35 million voter data project in 'existential threat' to Democratic Party
