Just in time for the midterm elections, it's back. The infamous Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy! Actually, it probably never left but it hasn't been mentioned much since Hillary was laughed off the stage with the claim back in the Clinton days. No, we've been too busy hearing about Hope and Change, and the dawning of a new day. Liberals won complete control of government, the presidency, the Senate and the House, and then forced Obamacare down our throats against our will. All the while, assuring us that things were going to be so much better now that we got rid of the Cowboy Bush and his crew.
Now that virtually all the liberal initiatives have failed and Democrats are poised to lose big time in the coming election cycle, we start to hear the tired old meme repeat itself again... yes, the vast right-wing conspiracy nuts are back with a vengeance. True to form, they've updated the message with version 2.0, and you'll never hear them refer to it as "the vast right-wing conspiracy" by name, but for all intents and purposes, it's the same mantra.
The narrative is: Rich and greedy capitalists like the evil Koch Brothers, in conjunction with Fox News and Talk Radio, have conspired to brainwash America. They have spent untold billions of dollars to convince us that Liberalism is bad and worked us into a froth over anything Obama tries to do. You see, we're just too dumb and stupid to make our minds up on our own. We need to be led like sheep or zombies. So this couldn't possibly be a genuine growing grass roots animosity over the many failures of Obama and liberals.
Naturally, it is easy for us to be led by the nose ring because most of us are racist bigots who loathe a black president anyway, don't you know. But as we get up each day and go to our little jobs, we listen to Rush, Hannity, Mark Levin and Glenn Beck, and we watch Fox News when we get home, so all we hear are the bad and terrible things Obama is doing. We never get to see the compassion of liberals and how they are trying to make America a better place to live. Like the other day, when the mayor of New York basically said pro-lifers who didn't support gay marriage were not welcome there.
No, we just keep hearing these overblown slanderous lies about the NSA spying on Americans, the IRS targeting Obama's political adversaries and some disruption at an embassy where the good Muslim folks were upset by a YouTube video. Meanwhile, conservatives just make up their own numbers and statistics while Obama has been paying down the debt and putting Americans back to work left and right. He says he's created 8 million new jobs, so how can we have 11 million more people unemployed and 50 million on food stamps? I know, right? It's crazy talk, but that's because the Koch Brothers are spoon feeding this to the dummies.
Now what we have to all do is go out there and vote for more Democrats! Once we return full power of government to the left, they can dream up and cram more liberal initiatives down our throat and tell us how great things are going to be someday. Liberals are the only people who are smart enough to know how to pay for everything our little hearts desire and also pay off our debt. They have a solid and well-thought-out plan to confiscate wealth from evil capitalists like the Koch Brothers and those nasty old oil companies that Bush and Cheney own, and make them pay for everything needed by the struggling poor people who have nothing.
Most importantly, we have to do something about Fox News and Talk Radio. I know that many of you believe these are free market commercial enterprises who operate from the support of a consumer base who advertisers appeal to, but that's only the perception perpetrated by the vast right-wing conspiracy. They are just pumping out Koch Brother propaganda and nothing can be believed unless it comes from MSNBC and Rachel Maddow. That's really the only source of news Americans need to hear because they are just too stupid to figure out things on their own.
