There are some things Trump does that I frown on.

What the hell was that vid? A grizzly ate that guy?
Yes, they are dangerous. But that is their turf. Gotta be careful. Still...killing them while asleep, and their cubs too....that smacks too much of a canned hunt. If you wanna shoot bears..then do it even steven. You with your gun, them facing you. Or, if they are attacking you, kill them.
I just really frown on this shit. Killing lions, giraffes, elephants, etc just for SPORT.

Meanwhile...bears scare the living shit out of me. But I wouldn't kill a sleeping mama OR her babies. I would if I was being attacked. But this seems to me like its just for those who like to hunt and kill, an extra excuse for bear steak. which I hear is tasty but no thanks!

Hunters in Alaska will soon be allowed to use bacon grease and doughnuts to bait brown bears, spotlights to shoot hibernating mother bears and cubs in their dens and motorboats to shoot swimming caribou — thanks to a reversal of Obama-era guidelines by the Trump administration this week.

Effective July 9, hunting on nature preserves in Alaska will once again be controlled by the state rather than the federal government. The new rule, published Tuesday in the Federal Register, reverses hunting bans put in place in all National Parks by the Obama administration in 2015 following years of pleading by environmental and wildlife protection groups.

What is the purpose of this??? Does it save money? Lives? Help the poor? Feed the homeless? NO. So why do it?
@realDonaldTrump
You start doing this shit, and you will LOSE voters. Just sayin'.

Trump administration eases restrictions on killing bear cubs and wolf pups in their dens in Alaska
Sounds to Me like you should be complaining about the Alaskan State government. It is not the responsibility of the US government to control how, where, and what is hunted.
It's NOT Alaska's land, it's our National Land.

Come election time, I am going to vote for Trump. Things he's doing regarding wildlife protections are disappointing and thus, I'm not happy with it. However, when it comes to the left, who are supposedly the great protectors of the environment, they've gotten onto the George Soros, "Free Movement of People" agenda with no borders. This would literally bring in millions and assorted criminals fleeing arrest warrants, drug cartel members, rapists, sex traffickers, thieves and murderers aside, this huge influx would need much more land upon which to live and so, more apartments, condos, houses, stores, companies, streets and parking lots. Thus, more deforestation, more wildlife habitat loss (quicker) and no doubt at some point people demanding we open up the last pristine places left in this nation, our National Parks, National Forests and Wildlife Refuges. Kiss the environment goodbye quicker. If I were running this country, I'd give substantial tax breaks to couples that don't have kids and place a permanent moratorium on all immigration.

Ditto. Thats why I said SOME things. And I wish he wouldn't tweet so much, lol.

Bears and moose are dangerous and attack people. Thanks to dumbass tourists feeding them and these idiotic hippie conservationist 'protection' laws, they are no longer afraid of people and are a menace. They need to be thinned out or captured and removed away from human inhabited areas. IF the 'native Americans' weren't so lazy, then let them hunt them out and keep their populations down, otherwise they can pipe down and stick to what they do best, get drunk and kill each other, same as the white 'natives'. This is the same as the stupidity over protecting wolves and coyotes. If you need to see animals in the wild n stuff, buy a subscription to National Geographic or Nature and stop passing stupid laws. We have more than enough dumbass 'Animal Kingdom' shows on Saturdays romanticizing smelly rabid wildlife as it is. Most of it belongs on BBQ grills and eaten anyway.

Mama bears will only attack if their cubs are being threatened.
Sleeping mama's won't attack, cause...they're sleeping!

Bears are more scared of you than you are of them

Black bear meat is only tasty after they wake from hibernation and have had their fill of berries. The meat is sweet. Killing a bear for food near hibernation time is never a good thing because their meat is fishy.

Bears and moose are dangerous and attack people.

Only if they are feeling threatened.

Bullshit

IF the 'native Americans' weren't so lazy, then let them hunt them out and keep their populations down,

Native Alaskans and those who live a subsistence lifestyle aren't lazy, dummy.

It's so Don Jr. and Eric can go trophy hunting. The Safari Club is auctioning off a hunting trip with Don Jr. to Alaska for himself and those who are willing to pony up the price:

Snow, drunk Eskimos on welfare, oil field workers, gold prospectors, fishing boat companies, biker gang hideouts, etc., highest percentage of people on welfare than any other state, what else is there? I know all there is to know about it, but thanks for your concerns.

If your bear population is too large, killing them at any time is good, period. If the 'natives' want to do silly stupid shit like fight them bare-handed and 'fair n stuff', let them have at it; they need thinning out, too, given the number of drunks and deadbeats and criminals hiding out there.

Only dumbasses beleive they're living some 'subsistence lifestyle'; everybody else knows they're welfare cases and only hunt occasionally, when some tourists come along or when they're bored and can't afford to buy more booze until the end of the month when their checks reach the bank. Now that the oil revenues are in the toilet, their per capita spending on welfare is almost as high as New York's. That 'rugged individualist' stuff only applies to a few hard core white people digging for gold and a few oil patch crazies.

Alaska has more residents on welfare, per capita, than any other state in the nation, according to figures released Tuesday by the U.S. Census Bureau.

An updated tally of state-by-state public assistance rates shows 6 percent to 7 percent of Alaska families receive government help to pay their bills. That's more than twice the national average. The large seasonal tourism and fishing workforce, combined with more than 140 villages that are exempt from public assistance time limits because of few job opportunities, both contribute to the outsize rate.

"We also have a lot of transient types, people who come up in tourism jobs or oil jobs," said Health Department spokesman Clay Butcher, who suspects the state welfare figures have improved since the 2012 American Community Survey that the new census data is based on.

The figures show no significant change in welfare rates nationwide. In Alaska, the number of families or households receiving a combination of state and federal checks grew from 15,757 in 2011 to 16,535 in 2012.

Seventeen other states also saw an increase in public assistance recipients, though none have a higher percentage of recipients than Alaska, a trend that has held steady since at least 2000.

The census bureau tallies welfare numbers based on families receiving general assistance as well as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families -- often known simply as "welfare." In Alaska, the program is named Alaska Temporary Assistance and helps low-income families with dependent children pay their bills using a combination of federal and state money.

As in the federal program, Alaskans cannot receive public assistance for more than 60 months. People living in Alaska Native villages where more than half of adults are unemployed are exempt from the time limit, however.

Many Native regional organizations distribute assistance directly to tribal members, making it difficult to compare regional welfare rates in the state. Statewide, women and single parents make up the majority of Alaska Temporary Assistance recipients, according to a 2011 report by the Institute for Circumpolar Health at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
The small Alaska population makes comparisons with other states difficult. But even at the lowest estimates, the percentage of Alaska households on public assistance is at least twice the overall U.S. rate of 2.9 percent.

You don't know jack.

You are disgusting.

This isn't new news...........the debate has been going on for years. It is about game management and how many can be killed to sustain the population and balance.........too many of either the prey or predators changes the balance. Too many of either and the food supply will cause these animals to die off for lack of food.

Another issue on another article....would have to find it......is that Native Alaskans hunt for survival their in their old ways..................aka they hunt to survive................if they need to eat during the winter.......well the only way to eat bear is in their dens................

This should be up to the people who live in ALASKA.......and not some city slicker in New York who has NO CLUE about how to manage places like Alaska.
