Think The Russian People Are With Putin? Think Again

skews13 As I stated in another post, it's like most countries: some are for the leader, some are not. Some are in between.

Like Vietnam and the US-some Americans still think the Vietnam War was right. Some opposed it, some agreed with it

Man Oh, man, have the Germans ever protested this much? Here's what 100,000 citizens of Berlin thinks:

The French protest against the Kremlin beating up on the Ukrainians? Who'da thunk it. On the other hand, the French are pretty sensitive to bullies.

Nations ban Russian planes from their 'democratic skies'

European countries from north to south are banning Russian planes from transiting through their airspace in protest over Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Here's a roundup:
- Early birds -

On Friday, Britain announces an immediate ban on Russian private jets from UK airspace, in response to President Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine the day before.
The Czech Republic, Poland and Bulgaria each say they will ban all Russian flights from their skies, starting from midnight.
Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia and Romania follow suit on Saturday.
"There is no place for planes of the aggressor state in democratic skies," Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas tweets.
- Austria and Germany -
Austria says on Sunday all Russian flights will no longer be able to use Austrian airspace or land at Austrian airports from 1400 GMT.
"We are doing everything to show Vladimir Putin that we do not accept his invasion of Ukraine," Chancellor Karl Nehammer says in a tweet.
Germany says it will impose a three-month ban on all Russian flights, also from 1400 GMT on Sunday. Only humanitarian flights will be exempt.
France announces it will close off its airspace from Sunday night, in response to the invasion.
Belgium says it will not accept Russian aircraft either.
"Our European skies are open skies," says Prime Minister Alexander De Croo. "They're open for those who connect people, not for those who seek to brutally aggress."
- The Nordics -
Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland say they too will not accept any Russian planes.
Finland, which shares a 1,300-kilometre (800-mile) border with Russia, "is preparing to close its airspace to Russian air traffic," Transport Minister Timo Harakka tweets, without giving a time.
- Italy, Spain and Malta-
Italy and Spain, too, say they are shutting off their airspace. Malta says it is also doing so to show "full solidarity with Ukraine".

I think Putin better collect his Orphan-killing equipment and take it back home. tch, tch, tch.

By Wednesday night, every major city in Ukraine was under attack as Russian bombs targeted Kharkiv, Odesa, Kramatorsk, and Kyiv. According to Daily Kos, several Ukrainian government websites were also taken down in a series of cyberattacks, in addition to many news organizations and media outlets. As Russia works to take over Ukraine, the country’s citizens are not all in favor of Putin’s actions and cry for war.

Citizens across the country are risking their lives working in resistance, advocating against the war. A poll released Thursday by the Levada Center, an independent Russian organization, found that only 45% of Russians favored the move to advance into Ukraine, The Guardian reported. A majority were against any violence toward another country.

Vladimir’s days are numbered.
Great news, a Russian businessman just offered a $1,000,000 bounty on putin's head. It's about time.

Putin is extremely popular with the Russian people.
Polls saying different are bogus disinformation. .... :cool-45:
His popularity reached a high in 2013 at 85% , it's been sliding downward ever since. 3 years ago it was 59%. The latest has him at 25% and still dropping. Now a Russian businessman put a $1,000,000.00 bounty on his head. That should tell you he's finished.

Russian cats were banned from participating in international competitions. FIF (International Feline Federation) has decided: "Since March 1, no Russian-bred cat can be imported and its pedigree is registered outside of Russia. The restrictions are valid until May 31 and may be revised.

Correct, if more people hate putin, they just fear for their lives more.

The only people who right now could take him down are either the rich guys watching their net worth being shattered, or the security services/army themselves having enough of him.

I guess MARCA broke with the news 16 hours ago, INSIDER ran it 7 hours ago, several other foreign entities ran it and NEWSWEEK ran it 23 hours ago. I still have trouble posting links but these might work. marca.com businessinsider.com and newsweek.com
