As a percentage of income, those taxes are much less on the wealthy than on the middle class and low income earners. C'mon, you should know this.

As a percentage of income, that's true only for those rich that consume at that level. What's the sales tax on John Kerry's yacht compared to a typical boat? What's the property tax on his mansions compared to your house?
