The gun owner was responsible, he locked up his guns in a safe in a home that he also locked up.....and the criminal...being a criminal....still stole them.
They caught the criminal...now they need to lock him up for 20 years for stealing these guns. Do that often enough, to enough gun thieves...and bingo....people will steal fewer guns.
And see....you didn't have to license any gun owners, or register any guns to do it....you actually focus on the criminal, and not the normal person.
Rochester man arrested for stolen gun safe faces federal gun charges
The video spans about 30 minutes and shows a black man riding a bicycle outside the house at about 5:30 in the morning, one of the victims leave (as the other slept inside the house), and a short time later, the same man on the bicycle walking up the driveway and put his hood up over his head before stepping off.
About a half hour later, the man returns with another person, described as a black male, and they approach the house. A few minutes later, the same men are seen leaving the property pushing the safe, which was inside a green garbage tote.
Stealing guns is one of the two top ways criminals get guns........second only to straw purchasers....people who can pass all the laws about buying guns, who then sell or give those guns to criminals...thereby bypassing all gun laws.......even future gun laws.....
