$50,000 per year is the estimated cost of warehousing these psychopath murderers. Most send 20 years in prison between conviction and execution, that's a million bucks right there. Plus when you add the money spent on lawyers on automatic appeals. It's costing the U.S. taxpayer multiple millions of dollars for each death row inmate to sit in his cell like a vegetable. There are currently 2,500+ death row inmates in the U.S.
