No, Frank. Education's problems are squarely in the lap of the left. You decided kids need to feel better about themselves, so you stopped counting off for wrong answers. You didn't want any precious snowflake's widdle feewings to get hurt, so you stopped competitive sports. You thought that everyone deserved to be a winner regardless of effort, so you gave kids participation medals for just showing up. You've taught them there are no wrong answers and that there are no consequences for their actions. You keep saying "We need more money!"...and you get it and test scores keep going down. You refuse to get bad teachers out of the classroom, because they belong to the union. You think teaching kids about sex is more important than teaching them science, technology, engineering, and mathematics...which is why we have a generation that can't compete with the rest of the world. You insist on standardized tests, even though kids are all individuals, all different, but you treat them like clones. Then you spend the last third of the semester teaching the standardized test, instead of teaching the kids anything useful.

You view education as not a means of creating productive individuals, but as a means of indoctrinating new Democrat voters. It should tell you something that your politics can't succeed without you cramming it down the throats of people too unsophisticated to question what you're teaching them...but it won't. Because you're simply unable to think for yourself.

All education does any more is prepare kids for fast-food jobs. And you have the unmitigated gall to blame it on the right.
