Time to form a moderate party

If it doubled since 2000 what is the number now 633 of them? Illinois Nazis? I hate Illinois Nazis ~ Jake Elwood

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center there are 1007 in the US. Chances are there's one near you, if not, there"ll be one soon.

1007? thats what I thought and you want to say this is a problem?
1 is a problem.

How about this for the 28th amendment

"Congress shall grant monies for the general advancement of the United states". The articles could range from given the federal government the power to fund infrastructure to science.

This would of course have to be written clear for the federal government to be "checked". I feel to compete with the rest of the first world we must do this but also to make sure it is checked.

Limit it to 5% of the gdp of the economy.

So you want to grant them the general powers they have illegally assumed. Got it.

Bingo...............

Don't mess with Texas.

BRAVO ZULU!

Those who believe they are taking the middle of the road get run over from both sides.

The moderate position is ten years out of date. The nation is way too divided for that today. Politicians who believe they can compromise will be savaged by their own.

Both blue dog democrats and moderate republicans need to form a party of sanity. The extremist are ripping this country apart

Our platform
-Pro science, infrastructure and tech ;) We're not scared to loan to things that advance our society. We also care about our space program and nws.
-Pro education. We want solutions!
-Pro spying on terrorist! Anti-spying on Americans. ;)
-Logical economic policy that promote growth.
-Social issues aren't important. We're for the tenth amendment for those. :eusa_boohoo:
-Sane economics that favor businesses. Fuck too low or two high for the taxes...Just common sense economics that promotes growth.
-Treats everyone equally and respects our laws!
-Pro constitution ;)

One party that has common sense on the mind. Stop the illogical extremism....2014! ;) We realize the lessons of the 20th century.

No, it's time to get rid of the two party system.

And the crazies are finally tearing each other to shreds.

Told ya this day was coming.

LOL

The same as the Dems did to the Blue Dogs.

LMAO.

We are still unified that we believe the Liberals are a bunch of Loons. How's that Obamacare thingy doing. Hell even the IRS wants an exemption. Tells a lot doesn't it...............

I don't believe this is the time for moderates. I realize it's polarized, but when staring evil in the face it behooves one to stand his ground if not on just principle alone.

The inability to compromise needs to run it's due course which will ultimately end up with bloodshed like usually does.
In politics, every compromise is a compromise of principal. Our government was created out of compromise and exist today only because our leaders were able to compromise their principals.

A dictatorship is the only form of government that exists without compromise. When government becomes so polarized that it does not function the people will demand a leader that will make all decisions with no need for compromises.

It was based on Constitutional principles not compromise on those specific rules. That changed in the early 1900's when we began compromising ourselves away from those principles.

Moderate means nothing more than giving up.

Time for people like Nancy pepolsi, Rangel, waters, and most of the black congressional caucus to be history!!! MEMBER OF THE PROGRESSIVE caucus = bye bye!

On the other hand

It's time for extremist within the tea party to also go bye bye!!!! Be anti-science = fuck you!

We need to start pulling our country together! ;)

You expect way too much from elected representatives.. Being "anti-science" is a REQUIREMENT for the left as much as the right when science stands between you and your agenda..

Going MODERATE is NOT a solution.. You will get 1/2 of the Patriotic Act, 1/2 of ObamaCare, 1/2 of a space program and probably 1/2 of a new levie system for New Orleans. We need PASSIONATE folks who wont BEND OVER on basic principles.

And there's no guarantee that you'll get the BETTER 1/2 of those deals.....

Moderates suck..
It's kinda like splitting Thanksgiving between Vegan and Traditional just to please Cousin Lenny..

The nation is continuing on the very destructive path of polarization. There are over a thousand known hate groups operating across the country, including neo-Nazis, Klansmen, white nationalists, neo-Confederates, racist skinheads, black separatists, border vigilantes, etc..... The number has more than doubled since 2000.

The solution to our problems is not moving father to the left and right but toward the center. Many people think 'compromise' is a dirty word yet this nation would have never existed if the founders had not been willing to compromise.

The problem with using the SPLC as a source.... They have admitted they don't track Left Wing Hate groups unless they can tie it to a Right Wing Group.

Plus they have said that Vets are potential terrorists, and retired military even more so.

They have called groups such as "The Oath Keepers" and "Black Shamrocks" hate groups.

Time for the democrats to replace their extremist with some blue dogs!
Time for the republicans to kick the anti-science republican out! (tea-party)

Anyone raving over social issues over the economy is a raving loon!
Anyone that wants to tell me what I can say is a raving loon!
Anyone that wants to divide our nation by lies is a raving loon!

You're confused if you think the TEA Party is anti-science. And BTW, AGW cultists are not pro-science. They don't know what science is.

So you were for the constitution before you was against it. flip, flop, flip, flop, flip, flop, filp, .....................

Haven't figured out you can't be for the tenth amendment without being for the limitations of the enumerated powers?

This doesn’t make any sense.

There is no ‘for’ or ‘against’ the 10th Amendment, or any other Amendment for that matter. As with the Constitution, each Amendment exists in the context of its case law, as determined by the courts.

There is also no ‘for’ or ‘against’ limitations of the enumerated powers, whatever that’s supposed to mean. The Constitution affords Congress powers both enumerated and implied, and acts of Congress are presumed to be Constitutional until such time as a Federal court rules otherwise.

The constitution was one huge compromise of principals and without those compromises, our nation would not have existed. Many laws and constitutional amendments we have passed compromised our liberties in one way or another but without those compromises the nation could not have grown to be the most power nation on earth and the envy of the world.

First, include the post I was replying to in order to provide complete context.

Second the 10th Amendment says there are no implied powers, only those specifically enumerated, everything else is reserved to the states or the people.

BTW are you referring to the courts that say as a citizen you have no standing to petition for a redress of grievances in those same courts as guaranteed in the 1st Amendment.

Constitutional Compromises
No it wasn't. It was written by people that stood firm against the socialist and monarchy people of the time. They were so far from negotiation they actually did something the rest of the world never had the balls to do in spite of the left leaning *ssholes involved. Our nation exists because of strong willed people that wouldn't compromise with the big government types.

What exactly do you think is in the Constitution that was a compromise? It seems pretty damn straight forward to me. Lefties got nothing in that document.

We mainstream GOP are unified, and, yes, we think you TP folks are loony. Obamacare passed, it has withstood two elections and SCOTUS, it is being implimented, and it is going no where. OPM has determined that it will function the same for government folks as it does for you and me. How about that? We don't like it much in the mainstream, but we see reality for what it is.

You will never ever foist a loony veep candidate on us again, much less a presidential candidate.

You will toe our line or go away.
