So let's say you 'win' and get every single last one of those scary assault weapons out of the US. Logistically impossible of course but let's just say it happened. Then the next Nicholas Cruz goes into a high school with two Glocks and a backpack full of magazines. Kills 20 kids. Will you march for armed security then or will you march against handguns?

If he had shot those kids with a handgun instead of a high powered rifle, likely many more would have survived.

I rate your thread, "Poster did not think it through and fell on his face".

"Virginia Tech massacre:One of the most violent crimes in American history took place on the quiet campus of Virginia Tech one April morning in 2007. Around 7:15 a.m., VT senior Seung-Hui Cho entered a dorm and killed a student and an R.A. who attempted to help her. Two hours later, he walked to an engineering building, chained the doors shut from the inside, and started shooting. Walking from room to room, he first killed 10 and injured two. In the next room, he killed five and wounded six. By the time he turned the gun on himself, he had killed 32 people, 28 of whom he shot in the head, and injured 25 more."

He used 2 handguns to commit this atrocity.

Replier never thinks, only speculates note the word 'likely'.

If the magazines only hold 10 rounds or less, they would have had a lot better chance of stopping him when he reloaded.

That's always more politically expedient.

Who would stop him, the cops waiting outside the school?

And what if he has two more guns on holsters on his hips, and two more in a back pack?

If seen some crazy videos of a guy reloading those things so quick, if you blinked, you would miss it.

I really don't think you know what you are talking about.

That's real neat and all, but the fact is that a high powered rifle is a deadlier weapon due to the much deadlier injuries it inflicts. You can look this up. You can look up what military medics and ER doctors and surgeons say about them.

Again, in the case of Cruz, fewer kids would have died.

We should confiscate all phones next. Texting kills many more children than guns do. It’s for their own good.

Yes, and certain violent video games too. Let's start taking their stupid games away and see how many march for that? Those games virtually TEACH 'gun violence' and how to kill people.

He's only got 2 hands, which means he can only carry 2 guns available to shoot at a time.

As far as reloading? Yes, if you practice a lot, you can get to the point where you can run out, drop the magazine, and reload another in about 1.5 to 2 seconds, but that is only after a lot of practice. I learned how to do it while with the Security Forces while stationed at Newport RI, and we carried 9mm on patrol.

But, I doubt your typical school shooter would invest the time on the range to get that proficient.

BS.....A 44 magnum is much more powerful than an AR and is semi auto with a clip. Any ER doctor would say ANY bullet is deadly. Put up a link to support your claim please.

You don't have a clue what you're talking about.

.223 makes a smaller hole than a .45, a .38. a .40, or a 9mm.

It does have a better chance of going thru one body and hitting another, but they'd have to be standing in line.

the guy with the school 'record' had 2 handguns, and did almost twice the damage Cruz did.

Posted this in another thread, I think it is applicable here.

Extra gun restrictions are not the end goal of the governing, cultural, media, and econmic elites here.

Sure, it starts with that, but that is not, in the end, what they have in mind.

What they want, is a complete and total disarming of the public. It starts with a changing of the culture, and with incrementalism, one small change to the law at a time, so that the next change doesn't seem unreasonable, till finally, the whole of society feels that the second Amendment is clearly outdated. I already see folks talk and write things today, which a decade ago folks would have thought to be unheard of in any place but a dictatorship, and these folks are serious. People today don't do their own thinking, they just repeat what is in the MSM.

They have a long term plan to ensure guns are out of the hands of the masses, for when that happens, they can finally strip Americans of their assets and trash the dollar. Why do you think they really didn't give a crap about this last, completely ludicrous budget? Both congress, Trump, and the entire bureaucracy know where the nation and the world are headed. When it happens, they want to make sure Americans are completely under their control and HAVE to accept the solution they have already come up with. If Americans had a say, they probably would have some other ideas. They want them to be as helpless, mindless, and as compliant as the Greeks, the Irish, the etc. . . . . . They want the entire western peoples, from Australia, to Europe, to Canada, AND THE U.S. to just roll over and accept what they have planned when it comes, and make no mistake, it's coming. Not next, or the year after, maybe not even in the administration, but they can't kick it on down the road forever.

Completely wrong. A high speed rifle round round (as from an AR-15) has higher muzzle enrgy than a .44 magnum round, and these weapons are more accurate at distance.

The AR-15 rifle is a caliber .223. It's actually not much more powerful than a varmint gun. A .357magnum pistol/revolver packs more punch. A .44magnum pistol/revolver can actually penetrate an engine block. A .223cal. is unable to do that. Rifles allow bullets to travel further than a pistol/revolver, but that's because of the barrel length.

Well they gonna need to get those Glocks too, because we all know all those plastic guns can go through metal detectors like an AR-15 through a back pack.
