"The King David Hotel explosion of July 22, 1946 (Palestine), which resulted in the deaths of 92 Britons, Arabs and Jews, and in the wounding of 58, was not just an act of “Jewish extremists,” but a premeditated massacre conducted by the Irgun in agreement with the highest Jewish political authorities in Palestine– the Jewish Agency and its head David-Ben-Gurion.

According to Yitshaq Ben-Ami, a Palestinian Jew who spent 30 years in exile after the establishment of Israel investigating the crimes of the “ruthless clique heading the internal Zionist movement,” The Irgun had conceived a plan for the King David attack early in 1946, but the green light was given only on July first. According to Dr. Sneh, the operation was personally approved by Ben-Gurion, from his self-exile in Europe. Sadeh, the operations officer of the Haganah, and Giddy Paglin, the head of the Irgun operation under Menachem Begin agreed that thirty-five minutes advance notice would give the British time enough to evacuate the wing, without enabling them to disarm the explosion."

The Jewish Agency’s motive was to destroy all evidence the British had gathered proving that the terrorist crime waves in Palestine were not merely the actions of “fringe” groups such as the Irgun and Stern Gang, but were committed in collusion with the Haganah and Palmach groups and under the direction of the highest political body of the Zionist establishment itself, namely the Jewish Agency.

Maybe the left is confused about the definition of terrorism. WW2 was just over and the Brits thought they could regain their former splendor as a colonial empire. Jewish refugee problem became important to the Brits and they found the time and resources to arrest about 3,000 Jews and execute 20 or 30 during "operation Agatha" which was intended to keep Jews from settling in Jerusalem. If you characterize the bombing of the King David hotel as terrorism you have to consider that the unnecessary Allied bombing of Dresden, Germany was also an act of terrorism.

Nonsense. Britain was getting out of the business of colonialism, certainly as far as Palestine was concerned. India was being prepared for independence, and Palestine was nothing but a pain in the rear, as they were trying to separate waring Arabs and Jews, with little success, and with growing animosity from both. Does that sound like a territory they would love to hang on to, colonize, and make a profit from?

This was an act of terrorism from a group attempting to take over a country whose inhabitants did not want this outcome. One could argue about the ethics of the German bombing campaign, but this doesn't change the act in question here.

Ironically, during Mitt Romney's disastrous foreign tour, it was right in this very hotel where he implied that Israel's rivals were the only ones who use terror to pursue their goals.

A great act of patriotism ! Bomb the British Imperialist robbers back to the UK!

Actually, I thought (although I could be wrong, what do I know, I'm just another veteran who served over 20 years) that "terrorism" was non denominational, and was non racist.

It doesn't matter what kind of civilians were killed, it just matters that civilians were killed.

Terrorists don't like to attack military, it's too much like war. They prefer to go after the civilians so that they can stop the flow of how the city or country works.

Military types can fire back, and are willing to fight, civilians generally don't have the same ability, as they don't have the resources or the training.

Elephant sitting in the corner.

Israel was started by acts of terrorism but they claim to abhor terrorism.
That terrorist based country try to hide their own history whist constantly flouting international law, especially regarding settlement building and collective punishment.

Those without power facing those with power WILL NOT play by the rules.

This shocks us?

Why?

The Jews came in peace to the land of their ancestors. It was the Arabs who initiated the use of violence. The Jews did not need to use violence because they were more intelligent than the Arabs. They could out compete them in school and on the job.

The way race displacement should happen is for the superior race to move in, get well paying jobs, and buy up land. The inferior race will move out when members cannot find jobs, and when they cannot pay rent increases.

If the inferior race initiates the use of violence it should be crushed. This is what the Jews did, again and again. If the Palestinians don't like they should move to Arab countries, if they can find any who will take them.

Arabs love to kill civilians, but their armies are easy to defeat on the battlefield.

Of course they are. Civilians generally don't shoot back. Militaries do.

And............if your army generally only goes after those who don't or can't shoot back, when they come in contact with those who can, they are easily defeated because of their lack of practical experience with an enemy who knows how to fight.
