You don't murder people for revealing our government's own wrong-doing. I don't think he's a hero, either, but a person who did the right thing. Part of the problem with what Manning did was he put people's lives in danger by releasing info. He thinks what he did was patriotic but if someone had died over what he did he is no better than those he went after
